I always put my shipping at 15 or 20. theres a great profit right there.

It is insured USPS priority mail. It will actually cost around $9 to ship and then there is the 'handling' fee.. it adds to my profit. I usually don't like to overcharge for shipping..but everyone is doing it. That is the average shipping cost for nanos.. but that is for standard uninsured shipping. This is insured priority shipping.

i never bid on anything if it is obvious that the seller is gouging in the shipping area. i know plenty of other people that are the same way. the profit comes from the selling price, and if the seller knows s/he will not be happy with it, then it should probably not be sold or just be sold elsewhere. it is also against the TOS to charge extra to cover ebay/paypal fees.

Same here. I'll even wait that extra day or two to find a seller with the same product that isn't raping people on shipping.

It doesn't matter what u put on the shipping charge. ppl are only looking at total price. If u sell the same ipod with a $30 shipping fee compare to another with Free shipping, in the end the total price will be similar for both products. Putting a high shipping charge is only to avoid some ebay fees.

I once list a buy it now acution for .1 cent with $85 shipping charge. Thats at least $2-3 saved on ebay listing fees alone. D

so yea...ppl are not trying to rip u off with high shipping fees, high shipping fees means least bids on the item but the total price will be similar to other similar items.

I, on the other hand, get my best deals on Ebay from auctions that no one else will bid on because of the high shipping charge. When someone is charging more than you feel is right, just factor that into the final cost, and bid accordingly.

Yea the average shipping cost of an ipod on ebay is $14.00. I was just doing what everyone else was doing. I will sell one for $140 shipped if anyone is interested.
