I'm selling my Vaio from Nuitech on eBay now....What do yall think about the listing, it's the first thing I've ever sold on eBay, got any tips to revise it and make it more appealing??

Sony Vaio FS8900 1.5 GHz[=http//cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6881185451]Sony Vaio FS8900 1.5 GHz

I wouldnt have taken it out of the box for pictures. I feel alot more comfortable buyin stuff that is new and sealed in box.

When it's someone with a feedback of 0, I think I'd rather they took it out of the box to take pictures.

Well, coming from Nuitech, they don't give you the original box and so it wouldn't have mattered either way because it is basically out of the box when you get it....

Thanks for the replies everyone, any more tips?

Hey I have been looking for a laptop like this for a while now. If you end the auction now I will pay you $1,500 and will pay for overnight shipping. Please let me know. BTW you will be shipping it to my son who lives in Nigeria, hope that's not a problem. It is for a late B-Day present. Thanks a lot and God Bless.

Yup, that was my goal and it seems like it's working out well too, it's up to $102 now D

Your 0 feedback isnt going to help (

I want that laptop just for its design, but celeron..... ?

15-05-2006 22:49:36

Same. I love the style of Vaios. In fact a Vaio desktop was my 1st computer (which I'm still using right now). I would buy this laptop, but I'm trying to get that one from Bigwin roll

MyungChunHa

16-05-2006 10:34:56

Yea, it was a lower end comp, but it was worth the ~$60 I spent on it D

It does have a celeron but I'm only asking for $600-$700 for it, so if anybody wants to I can go ahead and end the bidding right now on it and take the best offer....It really is a beautiful computer in every sense of the word and the specs are worthwhile, nothing extremely special, but IMO a great find for anyone who needs a lappy....

Let me know everybody, I need some quick cash so I'll think on any offer you give me....I do have a 0 feedback on eBay, but only because I've never sold anything on there before (plus everybody has to start somewhere right?)....Yall can see by my TR and Karma that I'll be a pretty dependable guy to deal with....

Alright, my bid eneded and I had some guy bid $7,900 lol , this has to be a joke because the guy (suppodsedly) lives in Malaysa, but do you think I should send him the invoice and then if he does send the money, which I'm highly doubtful of, I can send it strait to my bank, right?

Anybody have 2 cents for me?

I probably wouldn't expect payment, and I probably wouldn't send a second chance offer to anyone except bitzen. Those 4 ridiculous bids were placed by people with no feedback, and who just registered today. Something seems fishy. If I were you I wouldn't even put any effort into getting the money, just wait the amount of time you have to wait and then file a non-paying bidder alert. You don't want to get screwed with like $100 of a final value fee.

However, I could be wrong, and those top 4 bidders might be geniunly intrested roll

CoMpFrEaK

20-05-2006 16:29:52

thats going to be a shitload of ebay fees

MyungChunHa

20-05-2006 17:03:40

It kinda sucks how they screwed me over like that though, now I have to do a second chance to bitzen76, which there are a lot of fees involved right, I already had to pay $10 in fees and I don't want to be stuck with more...What should I do, is there a way around this?

The whole scam is pretty funny though, how could they expect anyone to believe the ridiculousness...They just made it way too obvious....

af.eagle

20-05-2006 17:39:08

You can relist it and file for a final value fee refund. If you are worried about this happening again, you can have the bidders required to email you first, but that would kind of suck. I know you can block bidders with -1 feedback, but you might look into blocking zero feedback.

GCY

20-05-2006 17:47:03

Those last 4 bidders are the same person. Looks like someone is trying to screw the shit outta ya.

The FVF on that would not be $10. Go into you account and check the fees. Look for the $7,900 and look all the way to the right and then you will see it. Will be more like $100-$200.

I have 700+ feedback. I can list the auction for you as long as you pay mer a small % and the listing fees back )

Just for you to check I am $uper.$eller. If you still don't believe me because I am new here, I will write whatever you tell em to write on the about me page.

Let me know )

Nah man, I know what the fees are...I was saying that I already had to pay $10 just for listing it....I don't need another middle man doing work as simple as listing on eBay...Thanks for the offer but no thanks....

MyungChunHa

Since scammers ruined my last auction and made me waste two weeks and $7, I have to relist my laptop and its back open for bids...The reserve is $600 and if anyone bids over $700 I will throw in free shipping....

Exactly, I sent out an e-mail to the people at eBay suggesting a couple of things that would halt at least 40% of these scammers...If they're smart and take me seriously then I'm going to send them a few more ideas that would stop 60-75% of the scammers....

I'm not sure if eBay is taking this stuff seriously though, it seems like they make more money off of fees because of it....It's ridiculous, I found a person to take a second-chance offer but I had to sacrifice about $90 to do it evil ....On top of that, I had to pay about $40 in fees x ....Not sure if I want to use eBay that much anymore.....

I've sold over 10k worth of stuff on ebay and haven't had many problems just when I sold gift cards I think you just had a bad first experience.

I think someone needs to realize that the problem is HERE on fig.

Never seen anything like this happen, except one time someone named "PornRapee" won an ibook and surprisingly never paid.

Dude, stop posting here on FIG, relist, and hope for the best.

I don't see how the problem lies here on FiPG ?

I don't need to re-list anymore because I already sold it but can you please explain further?

Do scammers go through forums to get to products? That wouldn't make any sense because they can just search on eBay and make their jobs 10x easier....

You don't understand. I'm suggesting that someone HERE is fucking with you by overbidding your auctions as a joke. I was suggesting that you stop announcing your auction, that you just list it on ebay alone.. but hey, you sold it, so it doesn't matter.

woot.
