This is cool cause I HATE the stock lens on the Rebel. It's a total piece of shit.
I really love the camera otherwise. The lens prices are way too inflated though.
Anyone have any luck finding converter rings to mount on older Minolta or other brand lenses? If I can get a good one then it's totally worth it.
Right now though the $660 deal on Amazon is looking nice too (with stock lens).
My problem with the stock lens only lies in the feel while focusing. It feels cheap and plasticy. I'm used to solid lenses

Well it's a stock lense for a reason. if you have the money, definitely just pack away the stock lense and pay for something which is far better. They may seem like they're expensive but it's completely worth it.
You tried B&H for those converter rings? Or even eBay?
