Every once in a while I get the urge to build a new computer and sell my last one... Like now.

I'll part ways with this one for $550. This is a real beauty (in my opinion) I'd say it is definetly my favorite computer I have built.

Here are some stats

P4 3.2ghz 800mhz fsb 1m catch
1GB 400mhz DDR RAM
80GB 7200RPM 8M SATA Hard Drive
Windows XP Professional
PNY NVIDIA GeForce 6200 Graphics Card
16X DVD-RW SuperDrive
Sound Blaster Live! Sound Card
Conexent 56k modem (for those of you stuck on dialup like me)
CoolerMaster Case with aditional fans added.
CoolerMaster PSU (clean power so you don't fry anything)
AfterMarket CPU fan

If you think I left some important element out I probubly didn't list it but it's fully built, runs great, and NOT overclocked.

You can't see in the pictures but the case is all metal, the power, reset buttons, and the blue part are nice plastic. Ah yes and that is a Porsche Emblem on the front always good for showing friends D.

I'll take some parts of it, if ur willing to do that.
I want the p4 3.2ghz with motherboard, 1GB ram, and the graphic card.

^^ I wouldn't normally sell it for parts but in this case I really like the case... HAHAH get it CASE. ok now that I've prooven that I'm a geek is the computer worth more? lol

But being sirius now I would do that. How about $400 for that section of the computer sense that was what I would need to replace to go dual core like I want to. Look up the prices I'm pretty sure that is a really good deal.

$400 is kinda outta my range. Is the P4 HT?
Maybe not the graphic card...how much then?

Yes the P4 is HT. I can go down to $320 if you don't want the card. Thats $320 for the motherboard, CPU, fan, and RAM.

hehehhehe

Is it socket 478 or LGA775 What's the motherboard?

Still high for a used motherboard, CPU and ram.
I can get a dual core for alittle over $200 with motherboard.

You might consider the AMD Athlon 64 3700+ & ECS NForce4-A 939 mobo at outpost.com for $220, and you can get ram pretty cheap, around $60 or less for a gig.

The 6200 is around $50 at newegg (was at $35 AR before), but it sucks.

It's almost never worth it to buy used, unless it's really dirt cheap.

It's LGA775.

If you can get that price go right ahead thats how much I'm asking for you aren't required to pay it. As far as the price it is good in general but if you look around and buy each peice indavidually you may be able to get them for less, I really don't know.

I knocked of $80 for the graphics card which is more than it's worth (like you just said).

WOw...I have no idea 1GB memory cost that cheap. I got a Kingston 512mb for like $100 a little over a year ago.....I figure 1gb would cost more.

It depends on the quality really you can sometimes get generic or kensington value RAM for $60. I'd like to know where your RAM for less than that though can you give me a link, or are you just thread crapping?

Also to you mister thread crapper I believe you should actually use a 6200 before you say that it is your cousin (get it CRAP HAHAHA). I have used it to play black and white 2 on high video settings. It really is a decend card although I will admite it isn't top of the line I don't think I ever said that it was. Next time you get it in your head to downgrade something because of it's price make sure you know what your talking about.

Here's a 1GB corsair XMS 1GB dual channel kit for $67 after rebate.

Now that's only $67 for a really good set, and there are deals for brands like PNY and kingston all the time on SD for less than that.

When did I say the 6200 was "a your cousin"? lol I don't have to use a $50 card to know that it sucks, especially since reviews and benchmarks would agree with me (see the 6200 way at the bottom?)

Please use grammar check and spell check. And if you're gonna try to overcharge people for some used equipment, don't be so sensitive.

just because its corsair doesnt mean its the best ram... That ram is corsairs value ram, and its timings(2-3-3-6) are worse then other good ram you can find... I have patriot 1gb ram, and its timings are better (2-3-2-5), and it has a lifetime warranty...and its cheaper than corsair usually.... so yeah

I have the 6200 and it's a peice of shite. I wouldn't spend money on the 6200 when you can spend double that for a far better card.

You maybe thought about trying eBay? Maybe you'll get more interest there for it?

nick_e

28-03-2006 17:37:29

Sheesh I don't mind the thing. It could be because I bought it fro $60 two years ago when it was actually worth somthing.. Well I can see that no one's interested so I think I will send it wo ebay like you sugjest.
