The group offering the subscription likely gets paid for exposing the advertiser in the magazines to larger audiences. Plus when it comes times to renew, they get a cut from that as well.

i think you CAN sign up for more than one. It usually does take a long time to get there but it gets there, I have had free issues of other mags before.
