does the hd make the xbox core system able to play old xbox games? i just bought a 360 on ebay but its a core system (furthermore cost 500 dollars i messed up shouldve bought some half.com ebay cards from dude but oh well) anyhow if i bought a hard drive could i play old xbox games on my core system?

yes, getting the HD for the core will allow it to play xbox orginial games

Trust me if your gonna say it "breaks" not worth it, ive read some people have got theres lost, kept getting defective ones, plus seems not everyone gets a new hd depends on prob, Mine wouldnt start anymore, wouldnt load or anything and the service center said they had no idea about it so seems they just sent me a new one.
