Hey guys, I was just wondering if these sites all look up the IP addresses of the accounts. I am currently in college and my whole dorm shares the same IP Address. Some of my buddies wanted to give some of these sites a try and I was just wondering if they tried, could it result in D/Q's? Would they understand that we're in college and not in the same household?

Okay, so it would be against their rules to do that?

they don't explicitly say it in the rules per say but they have disqualified people for it before so best to not try it

Have you checked to make sure all the dorm rooms have the same IP address? I was in the dorms last year and each room had a different IP...

usually you'll have different internal ip's but the same external IP depending on how large your college is

Yeah, you guys are right. My friend told me that the whole dorms' Ip addresses were the same but we just checked and they arent. He then said he thought they were because his and his roomate's were the same. Wow, tells alot about the knowledge level at my college.
Any chance an admin could delete this, I don't know why I put it in the DIY section of the forum, sorry.

you are looking at your internal ip addresses (which are different) and i-deal will dq you for the external address being the same

I was looking at IPv4 IP address. I also looked at the IP address that shows when you register an account on Free Ipod Guide.
