Hey all, I decided to research some I-deal sites since they are, what seems to be, the best DIY sites currently running. Here is a large list of I-deal sites. Keep checking back because I will keep adding more to the list. I hope this helps a couple of you.

Good list, and thank you! You're right about the $1000 per six months, but that has to do with the DBA (e.g. 123Click, MarketLabs) and not the websites themselves.

omgz i already see your missing one. noob!

No really - thanks. I had a list I was keeping sometime last year...but stopped because it was such a pain in the ass to keep it up to date and accurate.

edit why doesn't someone take the information, database it and make it searchable/sortable on a web page?

yeah the referrals are lame. they need to drop that.

who would do that? i dont think family or friends would even do that.

There have been many sites with 8-12 offers that require referrals and people do them...mostly when it is just one because then people can just join a conga line. There used to be some of those on here in the past too.

slambam

06-04-2009 17:41:09

And iDeal has made congas against the T&C.

Eeyore

06-04-2009 17:42:32

Yup. It's pretty common. I-Deal got hit pretty hard a year ago by them and changed their rules to prohibit them because of it, see IV(B)(2).

jtackman

06-04-2009 17:51:10

i miss the old days of nuitech and ideal, i pulled $5000 in 1 month from them )

slambam

06-04-2009 17:54:48

Yea I blew it. I got in on NuiTech right before they changed there terms, and waited too long on the really good iDeal sites cry .

AdrienD1892

06-04-2009 20:18:00

and it's not as if you could do a split with someone on the 10-12 offers with a referral becuase the payout is just SO not worth it being split in half. Sad.. I would have liked to have made that 5000 in a month long time ago.. shouldda looked into this years ago.

Ah well, such is life

kinneylamb

06-04-2009 20:32:43

yea thats what i mean. the payouts not worth it, congas are against the rules (which is stupid), and the chances of a friend or family member or keeping all their offers is low. why bother banning congas, i mean is the extra $20+ they make per offer worth it? i'd rather do a 12 offer site for better gift than be restricted from the better gifts altogether.

liat least nuitech stuck to their guns with the 60 day thing and didn't change it. i appreciate that, compared to what other companies have done / are doing. shock

nygiantzrock

06-04-2009 21:10:04

I-deal hasn't made a rule where you have to keep each offer for a specified amount of time yet have they?

Eeyore

06-04-2009 21:11:17

It was originally 90 but they relented after a month and made it 60 instead, and did not make it retroactive. Even NiuTech knew that would kill them off. ARG's 30 days isn't that bad but they really need to clean up their redemption process and get their shit together.

RolltheStampede

07-04-2009 08:54:27

wait wait this is an ideal thread they dont have any terms about keeping offers, maybe for netflix, but you just have a 60 day time limit.

and probably as long as your line isnt past say 6 people it really isnt a conga. its a "refer a friend"

kinneylamb

07-04-2009 15:41:59

what are you talking about 6 people? where did you get that from?

refer a friend is a nuitech term, i dont know if that matters

RolltheStampede

07-04-2009 16:24:37

personal experience is all

the one conga that made the conga rule come into place was something like 200 people long i believe

slambam

07-04-2009 16:30:37

I haven't done the site and know for sure but Wozniack on A4F said that you get a $700 check and he knows because his friend completed the site and received it. I was a bit weary too, thinking they may just send out a check for the value of the phone now which is way less.

For those of you who aren't reading the "big" I-Deal discussion, I-Deal (MarketLabs.net/ConsumerOpinionBureau.com) DQ'd me for absolutely no reason last week. Well, actually, there reasoning is that my name was "somehow" removed from their communication database. I've gone back and forth with the expertcustomerservice all week, to no avail. Odd part is my account still shows me as approved, there's just an error when I attempt to complete my redemption form (which suggests there was a technical problem on their end when I signed up). Finally broke down and filed a BBB comlpaint. I'll let you all know how it goes.

"Hello, I completed the christmasonus.com site and received my $500 Visa Gift
Card, thanks a ton!

After being overly satisfied with I-deal, I read the T&C and it seemed to me
that I was allowed to do up to $1000 per DBA. Does this mean I can do
coolphone4free.com after I already did christmasonus.com?

Lastly, for this site would I receive the actual Palm Treo 650 phone or a
check for the value of the phone which says $700 or would you get a check
for the depreciated value? Thanks so much for your help!"

In Response from them I got

"Dear Sir,

but -- someone said you can do the site if you received $500 in gift(s) from them already, that it would take you over the $1000 then you can't do anymore. it kind of spills into the other section, that you can receive over $1000 in a single gift and receive no more for 6 months.

Its not about doing the research, because all we can do is read their terms, policies and conditions. The interpretation is up to the user, and if the user gets it wrong they have the right to pose an intelligent question the CS and get the right response. No matter how they make their money, they would still want to look at least half way credible. After all, consumers have rights too, and there are plenty of statutes (federal and state) to protect the consumer.

ghounds07

13-04-2009 16:36:30

Exactly, they don't want to be liable for incorrectly misinterpreting their own ToS's.

And no they don't really have to answer each question you send them. They just provide CS since it is a smart business practice.

kinneylamb

13-04-2009 16:41:59

yea but its running them into a lot of trouble with users over the years, from mild frustration to full on BBB and AG complaints. wouldnt hurt for them to lose the trite attitude and actually respond to each e-mail even if it's a canned response.

dmorris68

13-04-2009 18:26:52

That is typical I-Deal attitude though. We are not I-Deal's customers, the advertisers are, and I can assure you that their CS on that side is probably very good.

They're not there to make it easy for us, in fact a large part of their breakage (i.e. profit) comes from people not paying attention to the T&C. Therefore the average CSR isn't going to go out of their way to help us be successful since it takes money out of their pocket.

If you're going to be remotely successful in this freebie hobby -- which is getting harder and harder in recent years -- then you have to do your homework, go over terms with a fine tooth comb, be patient, and be prepared to lose one here and there. If you're not, then this isn't the hobby for you.

Off-topic but somewhat related as us freebie vets have observed for years, it's highly humorous to see all the relatively new blood come in and make threats when they don't get their payouts on time. RyanG made a good point in the godawful Brandarama thread about how they released his account from audit without him making any threats. As he said, threatening someone when you're at their mercy is not very wise. The T&C are worded so carefully that it will be very hard, and often very expensive, to fight them, and they essentially have carte blanche to DQ you for whatever reason they feel like. You catch more flies with honey than vinegar is a good saying to live by.

These companies are, or are a part of, HUGE multi-billion dollar conglomerates that don't really care what you, I, nor the BBB say about them. We simply don't carry much weight with them, nor can we legally intimidate them. Frankly if you don't have the stomach for it this really isn't the hobby for you (not directed at anyone specific, just a general statement). Freebie is such a misnomer, because this endeavor is anything libutli free when you factor in all the time, blood, sweat, & tears involved to be even remotely successful at it.

I suspect that most people would be inclined to agree. However, the law does discuss ambiguity within terms of a contract. From a legal standpoint, ambiguous terms will be interpreted in favor of the party who had less reason to know of the ambiguity. That is, terms will be interpreted [i4b0168bd35]against[/i4b0168bd35] the drafting party (I-Deal) since that party had the power to clarify the terms.

I'll admit that the way the law is written, this relates more to ambiguity among attached meaning(s) to specific terms as understood by involved parties...but it's interpretation today is often used much more broadly. Of course, you'll have to convince the court that you could reasonably not know or have reason to know what the other understood the disputed term to mean.

I-Deal required me to scan and send my Social Security Card. Anyone ever have to do that? Scared the shit out of me. I made it somewhat blurry and put void text all over it. I also asked that they delete it immediately afterwards. They approved my account first thing this morning, but still makes me nervous with it out there.

Depends on the mood they are in. If they are not saying that they are going to ship out a visa or target card then it will either be a check or a visa type gift card.

Rakogo2

17-05-2009 22:28:29

IDeal should have about at least 2 $500 Visa Card sites for their most of their DBAs and nowadays they send out Wachovia Visa Cards. But the good thing about Wachovia Visa Cards is that they can be unloaded and sent as a check just by calling Wachovia up and requesting it. There's a fee of $15 though.

You can also unload the Wachovia Visa Cards through paypal by having it sent to your bank account, but again, there's a fee, and it's about the same much as calling Wachovia and having it unloaded.

Mine credited in under 10 days. I kinda waited long on doing my 4 platinum offers though because I was trying to see first if the silver and gold offers will credit (playing safe). Then when all 4 did, it gave me the motivation to complete my 4 platinum offers all in one day. )

I could have completed start to finish in only 4 weeks, but since I was slow it took me 2 months instead. Still good though. I couldn't complain. It only made me nervous a little bit, because I received an email from their CS a few days after sending in my certs that they couldn't verify my info based on the address and tel# I gave them. I just recently moved and my cellphone number is registered to my boyfriend's name. Anyway, after a rather long email explaining to them about my situation, my status was changed to "processing" with a date and it showed to wait between 6-8 weeks of the processing date. After less than 4 weeks, I received the $500 GC reward. No answer from the CS about my long email- they just processed and sent in my reward promptly.

Somebody wrote something here about being nice and polite when you write an email to these reward companies when you're having any issue with claiming your reward, and to not sound threatening. I agree with that. Not to sound preachy, but in the end, being polite will eventually help you get what you want from them. My long email was polite and straight-to-the-point.

Now I'm doing the same thing as far as completing my offers on Christmasonus $500 Visa GC. Let's see how fast the crediting will be, I am now on day 3 for both silver and gold offers.

It is definitely true about being nice. I was waiting to receive my 1000 from Brandorama, and asked for a check saying I was going to Mexico and needed it. I said I understand things are probably hectic there and so on, and I ended up getting a check instead of waiting for the GC a few weeks later. Meanwhile, potsey on this site did his offer like two months before me and was asking a little more sternly, and ended up waiting until his turn came. Show compassion and understanding (even if you don't mean it) and good things will happen, as I'm thinking they get a lot of very angry mail most of the time.

Rakogo2

Hey, anyone know for sure what determines the crediting times? It seems inconsistent. Is it the DBA or the site's name? Some credit silver 1-day, gold 3-day, platinum 10-day and some all credit on the 10th day, regardless of page.

whats the rules to ideals about doing more than one gift?

i did the 750$ worth of gift cards. i think it was the christmas on us offer. does this mean i cant do anymore until 6 months? can someone explain it to me?

ghounds07

22-05-2009 15:07:11

You can only do $250 more from whichever DBA runs christmasonus (DBA name is located at the bottom of the web page for each offer). Basically only do $1,000 per DBA and you'll be fine. There are some other random details that somebody else might know more about in regards to going over $1,000, but I'd rather just do a website ran by a different DBA if I were you.

RolltheStampede

22-05-2009 17:04:02

1,000 per dba per 6 months

kinneylamb

24-05-2009 16:22:45

or 1 gift over $1000 per DBA per 6 months (that explains the laptop sites, etc.)

Rakogo2

27-05-2009 19:23:19

Doing a $600 site and a $500 site on the same DBA would make it $1100, which is above the $1000 limit, but you cannot go any higher than that also.

kinneylamb

28-05-2009 04:55:27

you are allowed to do that. they have allowed people to do that. but nothing more for 6+ months if it's the same DBA.

also instead of multiple gifts, you are allowed one gift over $1000 per DBA, per 6 months.

badlands23

That's odd.. I did the christmasonus.com first as well and tried doing a few more. I havent had that problem yet. If I were you, I would email I-deal or something, I remember some other person saying I-deal said they opted out when they never did. I'm pretty sure if you try signing up under a different email, you will never get your gift.

Do the replacement offers take the full amount of time to credit, or are they over night? (ex 10 days for credit; replacement = 10 days or 1 day?)

bruman

Once you have at least one offer approved on a page it's next-day crediting for each one after that.

Not true always. I think there was something wrong with my gold offers to begin with as neither of my original 2 credited at all and my replacements didn't credit until about 5-7 days later. All in all, I did 14 offers to get 8 to credit for Favorite Phone.

Actually yeah that's how the system works. If your original two didn't credit the "replacements" that you referred to weren't considered replacements at all because none of yours credited, so the replacements were the originals. Like I said if you have one approved on a certain page (either Page 1, 2, or 3), the next offer you do on that specific page should credit next-day. All the pages are separate as far as crediting is concerned.

the whole referral thing makes me nervous. i feel like your chances of getting dq'd go up tenfold.

RolltheStampede

15-06-2009 13:12:11

refferals are fine there are just more chances for mistakes,

with 2 referrals is kind hard cause its 2 other people doing the gift pretty much just for your benefit.

with one referrals its not so bad because the last person is not gonna get as much unless you split the total profit.

but there is always the chance someone in the middle doesn't finish messing up the entire line.

just have to make sure the referrals are in it to finish and not play around.

for a newbie 12 crediting offers is not hard at all.

I deal(e-research $500 visa ) received in my paperwork on June 13.
How long does the processing take?
Thanks

Zags1199

26-06-2009 16:10:58

Processing can take up to four weeks and then up to 8 weeks until you receive your gift.

edgespeeder04

yes I meant replacement offers. Had her do one tonight.

Signed up & completed all 8 offers for favoritephone-carrier. Hopefully they'll all credit in 10 days D I could really use the money..

it seems like processing is taking much longer now....the gf had to submit proof of address by sending a copy of her license 2 weeks ago and has yet to hear back from them and she wants to do more sites but is worry something won't let her get her gifts.

Claimed she isn't register to receive mail at that address and yet shes lived there all her life and gets mail on a daily basis....it sucks

I just reached a settlement with one of the other big DIY companies...wondering if it's time to go the same route with ARG.

I'll admit I've done no research on ARG as a company, but it appears they are a privately held [id942e68608]corporation[/id942e68608], not an LLC. If the bankruptcy rumors are true, it should be a tough sell to the courts.

her account is proabbly processed, they dont email you back letting you know they processed it they just do it. then in about a month you get the gift.

them asking for proof of address is standard protocol now

ok.I got an email from I deal(e-researchcenter.com) just now.It says that my SSN is not valid and they need a copy of my SSN card.they have asked me to fax or snailmail.I have never had this problem with them.

Did anyone had problem with SSN?
Do they have a phone number ?

Zags1199

07-07-2009 18:26:35

Yes, someone else in the thread had to do the same thing. They got processed once they sent in it. I think they just put VOID all over it.

And no, IDeal does not have a phone number.

edgespeeder04

07-07-2009 20:37:39

All sites are approved to ship now....that is good news even though we never got responses to our emails.

I guess we'll probably have the stuff in 4 weeks or less since my last one took around that time lol

confirmed to ship last week and both the girlfriend and I got our stuff $600 for her in visa cards and $500 for me.

She locked one since she hadn't ask me for the pin since I know what they are.....any idea if she calls, will they unlock it?

Zags1199

Yeah, that happened to me once. They asked for the company name of the purchaser, and I had to give them the domain name instead of just saying IDeal.

Had a quick question. I recently was dq'ed for going over the $1000 dba limit (my fault I screwed up.) Does that mean the email address I used (it's the same one I have always used when doing IDeal sites) is screwed forever? If so, could I get dq'ed again for using a different email address with all my same personal info? Thanks.

I'm having crediting problems on another IDeal site. I only had one credit on each section, then all the replacements I did didn't credit. I've been working with CS to see what they can do

lol...it takes 15 days or so to credit for the living christian. I think they usually wait until they received the package back.

I just did a site. EVerything credited except for a silver offer.

Went 1 day for 1 on silver 3 for 2 on GOld and then exactly 10 days for all 4 on the platinum.

I actually had three credit on gold. DO you think they would except that as
a silver. I'm guessing no.

i cant believe you just said that. if anything, they would wait until the trial is over, and if you didn't cancel the offer too early within the trial. they are not in the business of receiving returned packages, they are in the business of pitching offers to reliable customers

You can use it with PayPal once it's [b293e7b094b]registered[/b293e7b094b]. I posted a page or two ago I got a friend of mine to register the gift cards in his name/info and he PayPal'd me for each $500 gift card. If the payment doesn't go through, tell him to send $499.98 or something instead. For some reason it wouldn't let him send the full amount on one of the cards. He tried a few pennies less and it went through. PayPal only took $27 and some change in fees, total for $1,000.
