This (plus rewards depot cash) will pay off the last of my crdeit and the wifes grad student loans. (Both are almost done anyway, but will be nice to free up the monthly payments).

Anything left over will go towards a Hawaii trip next summer.

Has anyone ever gotten money from mpell before? I'm so nervous about the wording on my cert. I am getting a macbook pro (actually already ordered) but am worried about sending them my receipt. It's itemized and the macbook was 1850 then I ordered a $50 bag and $60 software. My gift amount is $1k so I'm just worried that b/c my gift amount exceeds the most expensive thing that I'm only going to get like $60... I've called, they said it was fine that I would get the 1k... Should I be so nervous?

I think mpell is more lenient than we think. I don't think we have any reason to believe that they will go against their word.
If you really want to be sure.. don't call, send an e-mail. Get whatever concern you have in writing, as proof.

no cash needed, just take a look at the brandarama thread at the top of the page....

in short, buy 1 item per receipt up to the value of your gift from brandarama. Send in the receipt copy and the certificate mpell sends you in the mail, and they'll give you cash back

it's essentially a rebate for whatever you want to buy

I finally sent in the rest of my forms, I ended up buying $2000 in Home Depot gift cards (bought with $2000 amex gcs) for 6 of my certs, used my plane tix for ptp for another one, and bought a new stove & fridge for the last 2. I'm expecting $5,825.00 total from mpell.
My goal is to do my kitchen & bath with this and the $1000 home depot gc from ptp, plus go on a free vacation... I'll let u guys know how it works out!
