hey guis, I just go this letter from BR. Can I just write myself a check and then send in a coppy witht his to get my moneys?

Yes I got one. Since the forum nerds on here are braindead and too socially inept to help anyone out, I'll tell you what I did. I called the number provided on the letter and they refered me to the Brandarama number" 1-877-312-7263. The woman I spoke with was obviously fed up with callers who are complaining about paying out of their own pocket before getting their item. Since you only have a month to redeem the certificate you should probably buy the item asap. I actually bought an Xbox 360 from Bestbuy and provided a copy of the receipt and mailed it. The next day I took the Xbox back and got a refund. This way I really didn't spend my own money in the end. I would be careful though because they will only mail you a check that was for the specific ammount of the purchase. If the Xbox 360 was $395 they will only give you that when the original offer was for $500. It may do some good to call that number and complain. I can realy tell they are on their last nerve with all of the complaints. Something may get done if people are persistant. Good luck!
