I don't think FGO has been mentioned here, so here's my review.
I have nothing but good things to say about FreeGiftOasis. They are new to the DIY scene and run by Acquivation LLC.
They have two forms of DIY DIY and DIY Express. DIY Express requires less offers but they are more expensive. I completed their regular DIY site for the $250 Gift Card. They rotate their offers quite frequently and even have some good no-cc offers (I did two no-cc offers and four regular offers for my gift -- six total). They also have many unique offers that I have not seen anywhere else. Furthermore I had to get manual credit on one of my offers and that was real smooth. Took only about a week and credit was given.

Definitely worth checking out, their site is
http//www.freegiftoasis.com

When I finished the $250 site I had to print off a redemption form, get it notarized and send it in. Less than two weeks later I had a $250 check in hand.

first off let me say I'm glad that a new contender has emerged, I only wish they would do better than 6 offer/$250, if you find any better payout be sure to post, otherwise thanks for the review, def. worth checking out

I looked. The 3 offer express option is all OOD. If you need 3 different web hosting plans then you are good to go.

Crizo

07-10-2008 14:53:11

i wouldn't say they are OODs. from my calculations you'll spend $75-$100 for the three offers for a $250 gift card.

that's still a $150-$175 profit.

that said, the game is definitely getting harder these days. gotta front more cash for less profit (no more $30 out of pocket for $500 these days!) but it's still a nice sum.

i've gotten a $400 check (replacement for a itouch) and a $250 check (replacement for a $250 gift card) from FGO so far (and am currently working on a Wii with the diy express option). so far theyve been legit and fast.

Does anyone know the low-down on the web hosting plans offered on FGO? Like the cost, commitment, any catches? Thanks.

Crizo

08-10-2008 07:18:42

if i remember right, ive done hostrocket, lunarpages, and powweb.

hostrocket was like $35 for a one month plan.

lunarpages was somewhere between $30-$50 for a one or three month plan (can't remember exactly).

powweb was somewhere between $30-$50 for a three month plan.

i didn't run into any catches or problems with any of them. the only thing to pay attention to is they often default you to a specific plan when you first start signing up...you just need to pay attention to what plan youre actually buying and how much it actually costs.

The only problem is with those hosting plans, if you cancel before 30 days, that site is not gonna get paid...its a commission junction link. merchants can easily monitor their sales every day and see people cancelling.

[quote5f4d374cef="notepro"]About how long does it take for offers to credit?[/quote5f4d374cef]

Depends on the offer.. trial offers 1-3 days hosting takes a couple weeks.

Crizo

09-10-2008 06:09:34

i'd be really, really careful about cancelling hosting plans within 30 days especially if they are cj links. i would bet you either wont get credit or your credit will be reversed during your "pre-qualification" phase.

from what i know about how cj works, a sale locks 10 days into the next calendar month. that means if you try to cancel before the sale goes gets confirmed the site wont get paid and you probably wont get credit.

i dont play around with that stuff.

their faq page or whatever says you cant but who knows. submit a customer service request and see what they say.

There offer pages say all you have to do is sign up for a hosting plan. You have the right (even though some abuse it) to cancel if you do not like the web hosting service. They shouldn't hold that against you.

i'm just saying be careful. if you do something like that and you don't get credit, don't be suprised. im pretty sure the terms and conditions probably says they can do pretty much whatever they want when it comes to crediting.

anyway the point is just that in the end this is all a business for them. if they get paid you get paid. if they dont get paid odds are you wont either.

I think you guys really need to stop discussing CANCELING in this thread or it is going to get locked.

Yes. You do have the right to cancel but when you sign up for an incentive gift and then cancel just to get your free gift you hurt everyone. If you need hosting then so be it.

bruman

10-10-2008 14:48:23

Hosting offers are strict... if you cancel them within 30 days there's a pretty good chance they'll revoke credit.

the T&C say 90 days. who knows how strictly they enforce it, tho.

It's all about profit to me. If I can turn at least $100 profit, it's worthwhile to me...especially for three measely offers.

I'm expecting to get a $250 check instead of the actual Wii since I've gotten nothing but checks from them so far (but who knows, maybe they'll surprise me). For the Wii I spent $80, so I should end up making $170 off the deal. Works for me.

To each their own, bro.

It's a little late and a little off topic, but I have direct knowledge of a web site hosting affiliate program (not those listed here, but another that is on other freebie sites) and the freebie site loses their credit if people cancel within 90 days so waiting 30 days and canceling a hosting plan will still hurt the freebie site.

It just goes back to doing offers you are interested in and possibly keeping.

29-10-2008 09:10:46

go to their website www.acquivation.com - it's a separate company.

Crizo

09-01-2009 10:17:24

I've gotten a a couple gifts from them - $400 check (for an iPod Touch), a $250 check (for a gift card offer).

A lot of these sites seem to slow down around the holidays. If they aren't responding to requests I'd either send them another one or wait a little bit longer. Things will probably pick back up.
