I sent an email asking them if that was a good site to do, i.e. public and valid, and I got the email back saying undeliverable. I sent it to contactus "at" expertcustomerservice.com. Is this not their address anymore or did I mistype?

it's an i-deal site, you don't need to send them messages or e-mails to see if they are legit.

If someone whose signed up could shoot an email and get us the answer, that would be very nice. The only real-world issue I'm aware of with mining for not-yet-released sites happened with Nuitech a few years ago. I-Deal tends to take down sites when they aren't working, or just let their domains expire, but don't typically host them before they're ready AFAIK. And as doylnea pointed out, if they have a tracker ID in the URL, then it's being advertised somewhere.

Some companies stage their pending sites on their web servers before "releasing" them for public use. There are various ways to "mine" for these sites. A few years ago people used to mine for Nuitech sites and publish lists of them, many of which were never released to the public. Nuitech cracked down by DQ'ing people doing unreleased sites and sites from compiled lists, and requiring lots of early signups to newly released sites to prove they found the site through legitimate means like search engines, e-mail, or ad banners.

Well, I just did this site .. my first ideal site. One general question .. identity sweep wasnt loading right, as the server was timing out. Ideal still recorded my visit. When I went back a bit later and the site loaded fine, and I noticed that the cookies were loading fine w/ cookie monster, they werent listing the new visit. Does ideal not record every unique visit, because it wasnt adjusting the time I was viewing, and ultimately did, the offer. I've got screen caps, so hopefully if there's any difficulty, that will clear it up. I decided to clear the cookies, and wait, and click the link ... but again, it didnt record a unique visit even though I could see everything was loading right.

It will be fine and should credit on time. Sometimes that is just a cookie problem. As long as it is showing up as clicked (and you completed the offer obviously), it should go through.

Yeah if that is what you are referring to then yes they do. You cannont send in a confirmation email of an offer you do and get credit for it. They do not do that.

What was your timeline?

I dont have a cell phone and I live part time in two states, so all my CC info goes to the other state ... the one I'm not currently in. I offered my license (as its this state) and some packing slips I recently got .. it's all I have ... nothing else I can do. I did all my offers from this state and never did anything from ideal before. I did nothing wrong but we'll see where this goes. Isn't there an ideal rep on these boards ... anyway to contact them? Maybe I can send last years tax return? As far as my phone goes, I used my aim phoneline number, as that's the only number I have that's actually mine.

I had that problem when I tried to activate it online. Call the toll free number and the CSR will help you. They didn't even ask for activation code- just tell them the buyer is "I-deal Direct".

what i did is pay a friend 500 paypal using the card

and then have my friend pay me back with the money i payed him, and then deposited the rest of the money in my bank account, thus clearing the gift card out.

Thanks for the advice guys, I think Im just gonna spend it on groceries and gas and transfer the same amount from checking to my savings after each purchase. It will take longer but I will avoid all fees.

I do the same thing but I have my friend send it back via paypal mass pay so that you do not have any fees on your end and it only costs $1 to send

its a service they offer go to the bottom of the page after you login and the link should be there. Its supposed to be a way to send money to a lot of people at the same time but you can do it with one person. It charges the sender fees, but not the receiver and the fees are capped at 1 dollar.
