Hey old-timers, (& newer pros can chime in). What''s your best payout ever? I'm talking # of cheap offers to what you got.
Mine def was 6 offers for a 42" panasonic plasma hi-def. This was in 05 when thos things were $1800. I spent a grand total of $32.97 incl postage & certification on the forms. The wall-mount from walmart cost more! It took me 8 months b/c they did NOT want to pay out. It was YFD in the early days (before the ducky), & I think they had an "oh s---" moment when I sent in my certs. They tried to get me to take $1g instead for forever.
I know some of you guys can easily top that. Let's see what you got!

Somewhat a good payout...I had an awesome experience at one of Gratis freepays DIY sites (freevideogames.com)
Did 5 offers one night, cts next day, and received an XBOX 360 Premium the following day!
Cost me 15 dollars!
This was early last year btw..
I loved that site so much, but now they are shut down...

first price with a value of 1k or more cost me $40 or so and it was my first free ibook.
that wasn't my best payout by any means...but it was as sweet as crack.
that was, I think, december 2004

When I did my first it was one of the old YFD sites...6 offers for a plasma. I spent $19 and one of the offers gave me $25 in gas cards, so I ended up $6 ahead before the plasma!

I did the plasmatv4free site when it first came out for 12 offers.
I spent less than $75, and at the time they had a bonus of $800 for doing a certain offer. So for $75, I received a 42 inch Panasonic Plasma and a check for $800.
Not bad at all.

8+1 for the freeluxurywatch site was a $2900 check. I've seen far bigger payouts, but nothing at quite that ratio.

Shitt.. I wish I started DIY sites back when the offer/prize ratio was better. I just did my first DIY which was 8 offers for a ps3/madden 08. I don't even want the system, Im gonna resell it once I get it (hoping for a check anyway).
Howcome all the offers shot up for the prizes?

Because companies would lose money if they kept requirements low while everyone signed up/completed them.

Yeah, I know. I feel like emailing them and asking about the whole $560 value thing. Ever since the price dropped for the ps3, they have been sending out those instead of checks. I've heard stories that they also sent out random accessories with the ps3 to make up for the price difference.

You get what they send you, you have no bargaining chip with them.

it wasn't the site that got everyone in a fizzy.
quadracer - there was a 99.9% chance you were going to get the system the moment you registered to the site, e-mailing them won't help. they will only laugh at you and maybe even put you at the back of the line. just relax and wait for your ps3 to show up.

ditto. It wasn't the site, it was the people.
Anyhow, I could care less about offers to ratio payout. I'd do 12 offers for a 500 dollar gift, if it costs me a total of 12 bucks.
I have received stuff ranging from spending 3 dollars for a 500 dollar GC, to just spending 600 dollars for a $7986 payout (value in gifts)
