That userInfo parameter would seem to be user-specific to me...
Did you guys try the password creation screen first? I went to the http//yourfreewii.net/account link as indicated in the Terms & Conditions. There it explains how to setup a password if you don't yet have one. No phone call required. I've yet to get the password e-mail, however, but sometimes these things can take awhile, so I'll be patient.
Already completed both offers. I'm hoping for a check/GC since I already have a Wiii and they're scarce anyway, but I guess I won't have a problem selling it if they actually ship one.

As far as I know, YFD ALWAYS sends checks. I don't recall anyone getting gifts from them. Then again, I have only completed one YFD site for which I was sent a $500 check instead of the gift card, so I could be wrong.

You will be waiting forever for that email because they never send it. Use the 'Contact Us' link instead (http//yourfreewii.net/customerSupport) and request a password. I got an email with the link within a few hours.

When I set up my password, it didnt work for days. Then I tried it like a week later and it worked fine. So I think if you want is asap you need to call, or just wait and they eventually will set it up for you.

I had to call and setup the password over the phone, it still didn't work, and I sent an email about it and they responded that they were having technical difficulties so please be patient. I don't really care too much because I confirmed over the phone that my 2 offers were in progress, so nothing to do but wait 45 days anyhoo. I'm sure by then I'll be able to log in!

Got my ticket response and password link today. YFDirect is responsive as usual. One offer In Progress and the other Pending. But the latter is known to be slow and I'm in no hurry, plus I have confirmation e-mails and plan to be keeping it for a long time, so MCR should be no problem if it comes to that.

The site is working, but I don't know about new registrations. What problem are you having? If it's just not giving you a password e-mail, that's a common issue. Read up through this thread for suggestions on how to fix it.

After I fill out the info page, the next link brings up a blank page in every browser on multiple connections. I emailed them for a password. We'll see if it fixes anything.

I was able to sign up fine... I completed two offers right away. Then called customer service to set up a password. There was no hold time, and I talked to a very nice lady who also let me know that the two offers I signed up for were already in progress and that I should see the redemption link pop up within the next 5-7 days. (I think thats what she said, maybe she said weeks, whatever. this'll be faster than the brandarama site i completed last month at least lol)

Yeah, mine is down. For the last few days I've been getting the "We are updating our servers..." followed by "invalid e-mail or password" and a phone number to call.
This happened once before and it corrected itself. My 45 days are coming up and my offers were In Progress, so if it doesn't let me in by next week I'll just call.

It's a link that looks like "http//yourfreewii.net/confirm?userInfo=(long hexadecimal number)". So if you have problems getting in and still have a link like that, it should work to reset your password and let you in.
And now that I think about it, I might have misspoke when I said it corrected itself last time -- I might have used this link then too. So it almost sounds like they're losing people's passwords or something.

Possibly. Mine was working for me after it happened the first time, up until just the other day. But it could have stored a cookie that let me back in each time, and the cookie expired (or I cleaned them). As long as I can keep getting back in with the reset, I'm not going to be too concerned about it.

they told me 4-6 weeks on manual credit this time (though it was an offer for a company that a little browsing will tell you takes longer to flip in an automatic situation) so its hard to judge whether they changed their overnight manual process

My Netflix offer never went approved, so I called today. I have to say, that's the nicest customer service experience I've ever had out of a big freebie network. If only they all were that friendly and responsive. I was on hold all of 30 seconds before they picked up, too. She approved my Netflix offer with no questions, and told me I could print my cert in 24 hours -- however when I checked my status after I got home, it was already approved. Certs are printed and ready to go.
I also asked (with all these musical TOSes lately you can never be too sure) for confirmation on whether I could complete FreeGameConsoles for a Wii also. I parked it in July of last year at 3 offers but never completed an offer. I was hoping they could switch the console to something else, maybe add another offer to get a PS3, but no dice there. But she said I could still pursue that site for the Wii even though I completed this one. So, 3 offers for $250 ain't as good as this one, but it ain't bad either at >$80 per offer.
I guess Brandarama is the only site that forbids you from pursuing the same gift on another of their sites.

You can do the same gift multiple times on brandarama as long as its a different layout. If its the same layout then that is considered the same site.

As we've discussed before, while YFD may not have a problem with it, many sites consider it an additional hassle to accept certified mail. It means somebody has to physically sign for each piece which may be disruptive to their normal mail delivery procedure. Plus, when it's a lowly mail rep or CSR they may feel uncomfortable or unwilling to sign their own name to something. CSR's from I-Deal have expressed their disdain here in the forums before for people sending things certified mail.
Priority+DC is $4.80 if paid & printed online. You get 2 day delivery and delivery confirmation, but no signature or other special attention is needed on their end -- it's delivered along with their regular mail. As I've said before, I think less than $5 for that level of service but without the potential hassle of certified mail is a wise investment, especially when you're talking about the value of gifts received.

Saturday was my 45th day for my offers that are "In Progress" I emailed them and got this response.

That's a standard, stock e-mail reply when you ask about crediting. As many have said, calling them is the best way to get it taken care of. I just printed out my redemption forms... and sent them in. That was last week, and my status hasn't updated yet. Then a few days ago, I read the terms and it says I have to send in a W-9 and a scan of an ID with the redemption forms. Should I print out the redemption forms again, print out a W-9, and print out a scan of an ID and send it all in together? I've tried emailing support but they haven't responded...

You should have received an e-mail with the affidavit shortly after they received your certs, but you can most likely get everything from the status page. I didn't even realize they put all that on your status page until I looked the other day -- after I got the e-mail and and sent all the stuff in.
I didn't send the certs again. Just a scan of my DL and a W9. They had the certs already, and IIRC the e-mail doesn't mention sending the certs again. I think that's just a general statement on the status page saying you need all that stuff to qualify. They already have your certs, so you should be good with just the additional stuff, unless you want to be overly paranoid about it.

Yeah so i got an email too. I had to send in my id and notarized statement about the gift. They said in the email the rest of the information needed to be mailed to them within a certain time frame i think it is 2 weeks or you will be dqed for not following guidelines. Good luck, sent mine with priority and delivery confirmation so i knwo they received it.

Actually, most crediting nowadays is probably done with pixel tracking rather than cookies. So it's definitely a good idea to disable ANY sort of ad or tracker blocker.
As for as cookies go, I almost never clear them. And have never had any problem with getting credit, other than the infrequent offer that usually has crediting problems for everyone.

Is it 45 days from the day your offer is in progress, or do they not count that day? I have an offer that was in progress immediately on 5/13/2008, which means that if you count that date, I believe I am on day 45. However, it still shows in progress. My other offer was in progress 5/15 so I still have a couple days for that one.

Usually they haven't been turning approved from in progress. You have to call after 45 days. I still have some from February that are still in progress (haven't bothered contacting CS because I haven't completed all the offers yet).

tylerc, you can get all the forms you need on the website. No need to wait for them to tell you you're missing forms. Login on YourFreeWii.net and you should see instructions and things you need to fill out and print. They don't mail you the forms... you gotta print em.

I was DQ'd from this. Apparently there is a missing copy of my ID. I thought I put the one from the notary's in the envelope with the form she sealed. They are NOT working with me at all. Not only that they said I got the affidavit of eligibility in May but it wasn't email to me until Jun 12th.
I came back from vacation to a big fat disqaulified email. Sigh. Is there any hope?

They e-mail you, so be sure the domain is in your whitelist or contact list so it isn't picked up as spam. They also update your status page with the list of required info, including a link to the affidavit that must be notarized

Yep.. that's exactly what I did. I sent the regular forms and W9 for first class mail. The notarized affidavit and drivers license I sent via priority w/ DC because of the time constraint. It was only a few days after they received my second mailing that I went confirmed on my status.

You should read the stickied threads at the top of the DIY forum, they have a lot of basic information on companies, including shipping times. It's ~45 days to credit your offers to approved so you can print your certificates, then another ~45 to ship your gift once your gift is confirmed, so you still have a ways to go.

I had to go the same route, 6 weeks and they would not reply to me. Filed the complaint in the morning and next day the check got sent out.

They are PERFECTLY within their right to not send you the $50. It SPECIFICALLY said "while supplies last". Their not going to cancel your account for complaining, I've never heard of IDEAL or any major DIY site doing that. Your within your right to the extra $50 if you signed up when it was offered. Just try filing the complaint, it won't take long.

Let me start by saying this I have received way way wayyy more gifts in the past 6 months than you ever have. They could stop sending you gifts. But I am still receiving them and I have probably done more YFD sites than 99.9% of the people on any of these forums.
and yes, Small Claims Court would be VERY justifiable.
Edit- Don't take this like I am ragging you or anything... I just hate when people sit back, and don't try and get the money they were promised. This is america people. sue! haha. On a side note, Most small claims under $2000 dollars request the company to come to your hometown court. They don't show, you win. And you also win your $50 dollar Small Claims Court cost.

lol ohhhhhhhhh freeipodplayer.... If you only knew how long I have been doing this. There are a few people that know on these boards that I have been doing this for years and years. The only difference between you and me is that I have a full time job and just enjoy getting a freebie here and there. I don't "scam" the system like you do and do 100+ sites to try to bankrupt the company. I know it is your "right" to do these sites as long as you don't break their T&C but remember they say in their T&C that they can cancel any of your accounts for any reason and you agree to those T&C. And before you argue that that is not legal and you will just sue them I have a feeling that you have way more than 2k+ gifts pending in a lot of these companys so small claims court would not work for you.
Not that I don't like you freeipod however you really give us freebie people a bad name!!! It would not upset me if they canceled your account since you really take advantage of the system and not only do the freebie companies lose money with what you do but so do their sponsors that we all depend on them so that this can continue!

It wasn't a gift card, as with most all YFD prizes it was a $50 check. They don't "run out" of checks, they just decided at some point to stop paying the extra $50, and use the "while supplies last" as their out.

So I was skimming my SPAM Box and noticed an email from YourfreeWii after I sent my forms in a few weeks ago. It stated that I had 14 days to provide a copy of my drivers license, as well as a signed and notarized affidavit. Sneakky sneakky on there part.
