Why are you convinced it's a "complete sham?" Is that an assumption based on the perceived value of the prize? I don't know if this particular company is a "sham" or not, but there are a lot more valuable DIY prizes out there than this. Page 3 is probably OOD's. If this is a PTP site or in the same mold, the page 3 offers will cost you $2000 or more.

Hi,

I have been getting emails from this company <prizerewardcenter>. Did google search but so far my search results found over the internet was lead to another prizecenterreward website. It could be really a sham but I could be wrong. I'm glad you posted this link site here. The 6 offers requirements is unbelievable! shock

no this site is a scam (as far as we know). It's been discussed multiple times, different site but with same layout. There is no way to check your status, so no one wants to try it out. Also, if you look at the whois lookup, the address is completely made up haha

The problem I have with these sites is that, they don't have anywhere for you to check your status, and every-single-gift is 6 requirements and on the last page there is a goof somewhere so it actually looks like 7..has anyone tried emailing them?

I don't see where any address is made up, at least not for this domain. It does use an anonymous proxy registrar, which is not uncommon amongst freebie sites (though the larger DIY's typically don't do it).

Again, I'm not vouching for them, and if there's no reliable way outside of a cookie to check status then you should look elsewhere. I'm just sayin' I don't see anything from this thread that makes a convincing argument that it's a scam either.

It's going to be funny though if we find out 6 months from now that this was the best DIY since the golden days of Nuitech/YFDirect/I-Deal. lol

With a last page like they have? No way. Almost impossible to complete unless you want a satellite dish installed.

They have PTP looking offers/script design once you get there.

It is a little scary that you can't find a status screen. I tried the usual prizerewardcenter/status and /login. They say they will email you when you complete the site.

They don't even have customer support that I can see. I can't find an e-mail address or anything.

they cant even get their story straight, they tell you to 6 offers and then the terms lay it out as 2,2,3

It wouldnt be that annoying if every decent link that comes out didnt go straight to them.

I know! I wonder if they are actually getting sign-ups though?

i heard earlier, don't know if it was this forum or a different one, that this company is actually a scam. When you sign up with your email address on one of their sites, they sell that email to a bunch of different advertisors. If you click to "opt-out" of this emailing, then they will actually spam your email even more because they know it is a valid link.

I don't remember for sure where i saw this but if i find the link to it i'll post it.

That doesn't make this site or any other freebie site a scam. Not paying out, stealing your CC or identity, etc. is what makes a site a scam.

Almost ALL freebie sites, particularly DIY's, sell your contact info. As do most of the advertisers that you complete offers with. I-Deal is a good example -- within hours of just registering for the site, your start getting spam bombed. After you've completed several offers, the effect is magnified. For example, my I-Deal e-mail accounts [ia2a9f25d9b]each[/ia2a9f25d9b] receive around 300-500 e-mails [ia2a9f25d9b]per day, every day[/ia2a9f25d9b].

The selling of your contact info is one more way that many freebie companies subsidize their business. It's pretty much a well-known and understood thing, and it's why nobody should ever attempt to complete freebie sites with their primary, work, or otherwise important e-mail account. You should always use an e-mail account just for freebies whenever possible. In fact a long time ago I started creating a new e-mail account for each site and prize I signed up for -- I literally have dozens of e-mail accounts, for various things including freebies. But now some companies (I'm looking at you, I-Deal) have started DQ'ing people for having multiple e-mail addresses, which is pretty stupid IMO. Still, you should at least be using ONE e-mail account that is dedicated to freebies.
