Yea, I'm 1 of them. Been waiting since October. I did this one because I'm not a fan of the gift card hassles. Long waits (visas) & inconvenience (Amex).

Last time I contacted them they told me that they were still working on August. I have asked so many times, lol. Hopefully it won't be long. As soon as I see a change to ship I will definately post so you will know. I am usually a patient person, but man, I have been waiting for seems like forever! wink

I checked with Brandarama and they told me that they are currently getting over 2million users per month. That's the reason why they are so back logged.

I wouldn't doubt that they have over 2 million new users per month.. just look at how much traffic they get
YourTopBrands.com 5.1 million uniques per month
http//www.quantcast.com/yourtopbrands.com
Brandarama.com 2.3 million uniques per month
http//www.quantcast.com/brandarama.com
GiftItAmerica.com 3.1 million uniques per month
http//www.quantcast.com/giftitamerica.com
And that is just three of their sites... how many do they have? 10? 15?
Even if they sell our info and make $0.50 per every user they sell (I have no idea how much they make), that is 1 million extra dollars per month.
I don't think most people realize just how big these DIY sites are... we're just a small little segment of them.

I understand that, but it sounds like they're implying that the reason shipping is slow is because they have to send out gifts to millions of users..
edit just read your post, I never really thought about how big DIY really was. But I imagine more folks are catching on due to word of mouth and just doing some basic research on the internet...

yeah well how many times have we been through this with brandarama.
Thanks for giving that information Bruman.
I think this should go on the first page of the Brandarama sticky.
I bet they get more than 0.50 cents per sell of our info. They sell our info to tons of people.
This is a multi multi million dollar company.

I doubt they're making millions.
If they were, they would have no problem sending out gifts at a good rate.
I don't believe that vendor limit excuse one bit.

actually their probably making millions. its a business they save the money as long as possible for a few reasons.
first they could increase their marketing with the extra cash
second they could earn interest on it
and im sure there are more reasons

well i think they need more employees to handle all this traffic, thats what i think...........and more ways of getting gifts to send to users since they are only allowed to order a certain amount of gifts cards or something....i believe some1 said that once

14-03-2008 09:24:30
yeah they definitely need more employees here is a recent article about them having only 50 employees across 3 offices

As I believe another admin posted recently, Brandarama does around $50+M a year in revenue. And that's probably small potatoes compared to I-Deal's parent network.
These marketing/advertising companies make tons of money, a lot of you don't seem to realize just how lucrative the field can be. What they pay out in gifts is really a small percentage.
Put it this way I know of some one-man offer publishers that long ago made their first million, and the money just keeps rolling in. The large conglomerate corporations? Many millions in revenue is nothing. Their payroll probably runs into the millions alone, so you know they're making many more millions or they wouldn't be in business.

Look, if Brandarama didn't drastically slow down the rate at which they ship out their gifts, everybody and their mother would have kept abusing their system to no end. So they take forever to ship out their gifts, and that takes the incentives away from the offer-repeaters to churn out 10-20 sites a month.
