[quote452bc87d0f="box86rowh"]I think Ideal might have taken over this site...[/quote452bc87d0f]
Why would you think that? I-Deal doesn't own the domain, it looks nothing like an I-Deal site, nor does it have their standard terms. And I-Deal doesn't operate out of California. Nothing whatsoever about it indicates I-Deal has anything to do with it.

[b452bc87d0f]EDIT[/b452bc87d0f] After clicking topbillin1's link that took me to the offer page, now I can understand why you'd suspect I-Deal. They use the same template and offer list, and their terms from THAT page does look like I-Deal. However the address is still Woodland Hills, CA, and I don't think I've ever seen I-Deal operate out of there. Plus I-Deal's domains are plainly registered to them, unlike this one. Unless I-Deal's parent company also owns GG, I'd say GG just copped the same template.

Dude

#1. You just posted a link containing all of your personal info, including name & address. Anybody clicking that link is looking at YOUR account.

#2. The length of the link is causing horrendous scrolling. NEVER post links that long. Use tags!

I've edited out the link. When you figure out the proper URL, just edit it back into your post.

Doesn't mean it's I-Deal. I-Deal uses a common web template that is used by many other DIY sites. While I have yet to see one that is THIS much of a rip-off, I still can't connect GenerousGenie/RewardsGateway with I-Deal. They are competitors in the industry, unless I-Deal or their parent company acquired them, and if so I doubt they'd leave the GG branding on the front page. And again, the address does not correspond to any known I-Deal addresses.

Try at your own risk, but I'm willing to bet it's not I-Deal.

ILoveToys

04-10-2007 14:55:07

Yeah...click the contact us link....that's clearly not an ideal contact page.

bruman

04-10-2007 15:34:35

You say GenerousGenie in the topic but then reference mygiveawaycentral in the thread?

GenerousGenie is definitely not i-deal.

MyGiveAwayCentral is definitely is definitely i-deal (or at least associated with).

When you enter your zipcode on the generousgenie site, a POP-UP (not the actual site), comes up.. and that is mygiveawaycentral.

And that is for a $500 VISA GC.. not a plasma.

dmorris68

04-10-2007 18:02:18

[quote200e36cdc1="bruman"]MyGiveAwayCentral is definitely is definitely i-deal (or at least associated with).[/quote200e36cdc1]
mygiveawaycentral.com has a private registration, but uses a Rewards Gateway DNS, as does GG.

http//mygiveawaycentral.com (without any promotion identifier) yields the same reward page as http//generousgenie.com, just with a different title. Everything else is identical.

I see no relationship to I-Deal for either. Only after you get to the offers page do they lilookli like I-Deal, apparently due to template re-use or blatant rip-off. Again, unless there's some relationship with I-Deal that we don't know about, but I'm doubting it.

http//whois.domaintools.com/generousgenie.com

bruman

04-10-2007 18:07:20

I-deal sites work with config numbers. Each site has a config number.

MyGiveawayCentral's config # (if you click the terms and conditions it's in the address bar, or its in the log-in box if you right click > properties) is 2894.
Additionally, their contact us and login box is an exact replica of i-deal.

They may not be DIRECTLY associated with i-deal, but there definitely is some association.

For further proof, you can login from here

http//redemption.i-dealdirect.com/cgi-bin/account.cgi?config=2894

redeem from here

http//redemption.i-dealdirect.com/cgi-bin/redeem.cgi?config=2894

etc. All with the config number. You can't deny that there is some association.

As for GenerousGenie, I don't see any concrete evidence that they are associated with i-deal. Although, they might be owned by the same parent company... but they aren't I-Deal.

Well, all I can say is hopefully it isn't TOOOO bad. I don't have many offers to choose from, but could handle 1-2 not going through. I actually did the ideal plasma site and got the TV....so of course EVERYONE in my family has asked me to do one for them. With Christmas coming, I figured I'd give it another shot....and still hope to get a check rather than a TV. LOL....this is the 3rd DIY I've attempted to complete and hopefully the second that I've completed successfully (the first one I tried when I was a complete newb and didn't know I had to send in certs and W9 lol )....like I said, I'll keep ya posted. It's been 24 hrs and nothing has credited yet.

this is my input. for me I'm pretty sure this is not ideal. you can either listen or not, just don't want you to get burn. generous genie often times have a different layout. anyways when I click on this site http//www2.mygiveawaycentral.com/terms.cgi?config=3879 it looks exactly like ideal. but if you go to http//generousgenie.com/legal/terms.php, looks completely different and btw is more of their t&c. so just wanted to point that out. thanks for reading.

Yeah def looks like ideal. The only thing that is fishy for me is that i know that ideal added the cost of each offer at the bottom of them on bestrewardsaround $1200 earlier last week and I do not see that on this site.

Again I question if this is I-Deal or not. It's mygiveawaycentral like the others.

Unless there is some relationship between the two, such as the aforementioned affiliate arrangement, then it's a ripoff/knockoff site.

I-Deal has very specific WHOIS records for their domains they do not hide their domain info behind privacy proxies, and they do not use RewardsGateway DNS servers.

I'm 99% certain these sites are NOT run by I-Deal, but they may use I-Deal offers.

Okay, once again this is almost certainly NOT I-Deal. They appear to be using I-Deal offers and web templates, but they are not run by I-Deal. Entirely different company.

But to answer your question there is no time limit between I-Deal "sites." There is however a limit of $1000 per DBA per six months. As long as they're different DBA's and there's enough unique offers available, you could do five I-Deal sites simultaneously if you wanted.

Not to be a jerk about it, but the DBA question is one of many that get asked, answered, and discussed at length over and over. As long as you've been here, illnovah, I would think you'd know that. A little research will provide some answers. Many of these regular I-Deal questions can be answered by reading one post in one thread

Was that the case for you sullivan?[/quoted2e84b7c9c]

No, I didn't have to do any OOD's. Because of my limited offer availability, I did spend more money on this one than most would. I probably spent a total of $100 in offers, but I did the 2008 entertainment book which was $30 and the restaurant.com which was another $30...still all pending as of right now though!!

QUESTION How long do you have to wait before u can complete a DIFFERENT I-Deal site?[/quote4180edeb4f]

As long as they're different DBA's and there's enough unique offers available, you could do five I-Deal sites simultaneously if you wanted.[/quote4180edeb4f]

So there is a good chance we'll get scammed huh?

but.... this mygiveawaycentral/generousgenie is all over the net and all over ipodsweepstakes.com as well, I'm beginning to think they aren't a scam after spending all this money for advertising.....

Everything else is just like IDEAL, 60 day time limit, 8 offers no referrals, same terms of service and so forth....

Any of you guys think Ideal just changed the name to Generousgenie? I haven't seen a new Ideal site since newelectronics4free.com.

I just signed up for a 8 offer, $1000 giftcard site as well. I'll do the offers tomorrow, anyone know hows crediting with Vista?

manOFice

It's not ideal but it's also not hard to understand how ideal works and just mimic their site with their crediting and layout. I'm sure the site is going to work out fine but until someone actually gets something there will be a lot of speculation

bruman

17-10-2007 07:08:48

mygiveawaycentral (the site people are logging into and doing offers on) is a part of i-deal
i don't see how anyone can say it isn't? it has it's own config number... and if you know about i-deal you know all of their sites have a specific config number that are all connected.

did you look at the terms and conditions. the site says it is highspeed media, if you contact highspeed media they will tell you they are valueclik. unless ideal is now run buy value click they are not the same.

Are you basing you assumption off of the fact that the sites look and act the same or do you have something else that would make you think it was Ideal.

it really doesnt matter to me as ling as they fulfill my gift, but they are not ideal.

Keep the flaming to a dull roar, people. roll

There are a couple of simple explanations, as I've indicated in earlier posts. I'll reiterate them here

1. The web template used, to include the whole "config" number mechanism, is not exclusive to I-Deal. So just because GG has the same template and config system, doesn't necessarily make it I-Deal.

That said, and this is what I'm beginning to believe is most likely

2. GG and I-Deal are NOT the same company, but share a common ancestor company. Probably not the same direct parent -- in other words, they're not siblings, but probably 1st or 2nd cousins, if you will.

Either or both would explain the commonality of web templates and offer lists.

Bottom line, there's no point arguing about it. Even if my second point is true and they're related, they're NOT the same company and almost certainly NOT run by the same management, and therefore one cannot be judged based upon the performance of the other. Flaming over it is pointless and will result in bans all around.

Everybody just calm down and wait to see what folks get from GG, if anything. Then base your GG opinions on that, and I-Deal opinions on their sites. It's pretty much irrelevant at this point what their relationship might be.

They only ask for SSN if your gift is $600+. I guess theres no way to be certian that they will treat your SSN correctly, but if they're not going to, I think we would know by now. It's the same as Generous Genie, MyGiveAwayCentral, RewardsGateway, HiSpeed Media, etc. So the same would apply as to GenerousGenie they're either using I-Deal offers or they're now associated with I-Deal. I'm still confident enough to say they are NOT I-Deal, however, so I'm waiting for some results before diving in. I've heard nothing good about the "old" Generous Genie.

6+0 for a plasma is a great deal, so I'm hoping maybe this is a recent corporate acquisition that perhaps brings them into the same business enterprise as I-Deal, and they'll be run the same as I-Deal. I'll wait on the guinea pigs to get paid before I trust them like I trust I-Deal, though.

I'll wait on the guinea pigs to get paid before I trust them like I trust I-Deal, though.[/quotea0b19643ff]

I'm already logged in so I can't wait too long... It's only 6 offers maybe I'll give it a shot this weekend.

The Massachusetts W9 is a modified form for state purposes. Although the vendor may not notice it, and it's intended only for the vendor's files anyway (and isn't sent to the IRS), being as anal as I am I'd prefer to use the official federal version.

According to the IRS notice quoted above, they made a revision in September that had an error. I'd suspect that most of us with PDF's have the older revision (Jan 2005), which I think for the purpose would be okay to use.

Or is it just not worth it?

I Deal would never offer a MacBook Pro for 10 offers... no refs. That a $2,000 notebook... I am COMPLETELY skeptical these guys are legit, but the second someone gets something, I'm signing up for the MacBook Pro site.

dmorris68

31-10-2007 19:13:31

They're not a DBA, but it looks like they ARE associated. If you read back several posts, you'll see that I point that out. Their e-mail response seems to confirm it.

Again, they are NOT I-Deal, however they apparently now belong under the same umbrella. Which doesn't necessarily mean they will perform the same, because I-Deal is not running them.

The proof is in the pudding folks, so all of this is pure speculation until we see folks getting paid... or not. ;)

so here's a random statement. On the page you enter your email to check your status, for all ideal pages I can see the image thats there in the background (i.e. bestrewards around logo). I can't see if on this page, I get a little red x where the image should be.

Macbook pro site is now 12+1, and doesn't even work for me anymore. If I enter my zip, I'm just sent to some stupid restaurant gift card site instead of the sign up page.

Even at 12+1, I'm still skeptical. Ideal wants 12+1 for their sleeknewlaptops site, and that's for a $1300 macbook.

zr2152

01-11-2007 11:21:23

Once someone gets something, then we can say they are proven legit. No one here has gotten anything from them.

I stayed away when the 6 offer plasma site was found just because it was sketchy. Hopefully for those people that did offers, you get your gifts.

Just because they added a referral does not make them seem more legit. Maybe they are saying "oh so many ppl are doing the site, why not add a ref and scam more people?"

Good luck guys. Keep us all updated because I have found some extremely good GG sites.

Never say never, they've done better than that many times in the past. In the last year I've seen 6+0 plasma sites, 6+0 laptop sites, and up until just recently (when the beans were spilled) they paid out $1200 on a 4+0 site.

I-Deal promotional "value" is cyclical. For awhile the payouts are high and requirements are low, then everything shifts to high requirements for mediocre payouts. After the interest has died down for awhile down due to the less attractive requirements, they go back to the lucrative (for us) promotions. You just have to be patient and wait for the right thing to come along.

I've been paid an $1100 check for a 6+0 site and a $1000 gift for another 6+0 site, within a year apart, and these weren't even the best deals out there. So the idea of $2000 for 10+0 isn't unheard of.

If they don't show up as pending when you click (can take several minutes to do so), they aren't going to show up at all and you are not going to receive credit.

So make sure, before you enter your credit card info and click "order", it is showing up as pending on your status!

OK, after my MAJOR PANIC ATTACK which was followed by a minor heart attack because I was put on hold here yesterday for having multiple email accounts, I used the contact us link and sent a message. I explained that this must be a mistake and asked what steps needed to be taken to correct the situation. This morning I woke up to no response, so I read through the TOS and saw a note at the bottom that said emails and phone calls regarding DQ's will not be responded to. So I proceeded to type a letter and scan my drivers license and addressed it to the legal department, as the TOS told me to do. I then took my mother-in-law to the DR and upon my return, I had an email waiting from this site stating that I was "accidentally placed on hold" and that all of my paperwork is being passed along to where it needs to be. This makes me feel less and less like this site is a scam, BUT we will only know for sure when we get our TV's = ) I just wanted to share with you guys that the customer service seems to be doing very well.

Was it due to the bogus zip code? For awhile one of the I-Deal mailing addresses had a zip that was off by a digit or so. If you just wrote the address down, it would likely not be delivered. But if, like I do, you buy and print your label from USPS, it would detect and auto-correct the zip code.

That and requiring signature confirmation are the only reasons I've heard of I-Deal certs not being delivered. Although I did get away with requiring signature confirmation on a couple of my early I-Deal sites. Don't recommend it now, though.

also just in case for others the email= came from email=contactus@expertcustomerservice.comcontactus@expertcustomerservice.com came from email=contactus@expertcustomerservice.comcontactus@expertcustomerservice.com/email . Make sure that is added to keep it from going to your spam. The name on the email was "customer service?

so I faxed my forms in 1215 pm central time and I was processed 140 p.m central time. I recommend everyone who has had their form returned to them to contact them and receive the email that I did. Then fax in everything. Even though my forms got sent back to me it turned out to be better because I was processed a lot quicker.

How do u get at that answer. You sent them a random email about people getting rejected. and they sent you that.

And how do u suppose that its ideal?

And lastly, for people who have no signed up for these GG sites, would you reccomend it? And since people seem to think its ideal. should we use the same email address that we used for previous ideal sites?

based on how there customer service has handled people I would say they are safe to do. They have said they are affiliated with ideal (i don't know who asked them that but it is here in the forums somewhere) but we just don't know how.

dmorris68

05-11-2007 16:07:04

Somebody DID post an e-mail from a CSR saying they were now affiliated with I-Deal.

From what little bits & pieces of info I've been able to scavenge, it does seem pretty apparent that there is an affiliation. I'm leaning towards there being an acquisition somewhere up the corporate chain, that has brought GG under the same umbrella as I-Deal. That's as far as I'm willing to speculate so far. I have received no information that leads me to believe (or not) that I-Deal is running them, or that they operate the same way as I-Deal.

So far their CS seems responsive, but as I've said several times the proof is in the pudding. When they start shipping with the timeliness and reliability of I-Deal, then it's probably safe to assume they're being run by I-Deal, or at least according to the same policies.

As for now, I don't know of ANYBODY with solid information on the exact affiliation, relationship, or arrangement concerning I-Deal. They're keeping it pretty quiet, which is not unusual in the affiliate marketing world where the customer-facing business is often far removed from the corporations pulling the strings. So everybody should just sit back, relax, and let's see what happens with those folks who are going through processing. If they wind up shipping reliably, then it doesn't [i4249db5a90]matter[/i4249db5a90] if they're I-Deal, or run by I-Deal, or whatever.

What you choose to do with information you have is your business. When people flagrantly disrespect the rules here, they will be dealt with. tractor1 broke a number of rules, not the LEAST of which was discussion of repeating offers. Which, btw, has no bearing on whether you consider a site "legit" or not -- that's a silly rationalization. There is NEVER an excuse for offer fraud.

manOFice's mention of a ban was absolutely NOT the reason for the ban. In case it's not obvious by now, we do not honor "requests" for people to be banned. By anybody. We don't need people's help in determining what is bannable -- we're quite comfortable making that decision on our own.

And, once again (directed at everyone, not just you specifically Swat1) if you dislike the way we run these forums, then you're welcome to leave. The staff here put up with far too much crap for virtually no reward to be critiqued for every decision we make. As was pointed out during the recent DIY forum closure, you aren't owed or entitled to anything here, so some of you seriously need to lower your expectations. Go with the flow, enjoy what you will, take what you like from here, and ignore the rest. But if you really feel the urge to martyr yourself for someone else's cause, then keep up the crap and we'll be happy to oblige you. I'd suggest you at least choose a cause worth being banned over, rather than that of some shit-stirring, offer-frauding, previously banned member who continues to attempt to return here. But that's just me...

And I said, I wasn't directing that part of my post at you specifically. Others in this thread, as well as countless others, have expressed their disagreement with decisions made by moderators of this forum, without knowing all the facts or reasons. It's a sensitive issue with me, and I'll give you a personal example as to why. Yeah, it's off-topic, and it's gonna sound like a rant, and I suppose that's because it is. But I want to clarify my point.

I've belonged to a particularly gaming group for several years. It's a tight-knit group of folks, a few hundred active members. All are "mature" in the sense that we have a minimum age to join, adhere to a strict gaming "code of ethics" so to speak, most are married with families, many of us are grandparent gamers. Probably my single favorite person in the group was one of the original founders, who volunteered his time, his money, and his expertise to run the group's forum. He paid for hosting out of his pocket, he custom coded stuff when needed, he arranged real-life meets in Vegas and several other places, he and his wife hosted traveling members in his home, organized charity PC builds (including buying/donating parts and paying for shipping) for those members who were down on their luck and couldn't afford to keep a working PC maintained so they could game with us, etc. I could go on and on. An all around awesome guy, who also happened to be incredibly entertaining to boot (he was a stand-up comedian earlier in his life).

Well, in his role as forum admin, he regularly made decisions that most of us recognized were in the best interest of the group, and yet he was constantly being criticized by a select few of the most vocal... well... assholes who disagreed with how he ran things. They also felt they were entitled to constantly whine and complain and berate him for it. After awhile he had enough and quit the group that he help start, and in his "resignation" post he laid the blame at the feet of those select few. Needless to say, the majority of us were incredibly pissed off that he was driven to this point but could totally understand why.

Running forums like this is a mostly thankless job, it requires a LOT of time and effort, and nobody likes an armchair quarterback that always second-guesses your decisions. I think most of you folks have no idea the effort we constantly put into keeping this place running. And, you know, it's not like we resent constructive criticism, at least I don't. But too many people present their disagreement in a completely distasteful manner, with some sense of entitlement or privilege that is all too common amongst the younger generations (including my own kids).

Difference of opinion is fine, but lack of respect is not. As I said, I'm overly sensitive to it, so please pardon me if I tend to bark at folks whenever I get even a whiff of indignant contempt over a ban or some other unpopular staff decision. Just accept it and move on. If you must present a constructive argument against a staff decision, you'd be best to calmly send a PM to discuss.

Not a single game, it's a gaming group -- what some would call a clan, but we dislike the term and don't consider ourselves a traditional gaming clan.

That said, the group is [CoFR] and was originally founded around Counter Strike, but quickly evolved to embrace other games & gamers. I always hated CS, but joined the group when they had a Tribes 2 server (I lilovedli that game). CS is still played by some, but as a group we've mostly ridden the wave of whatever was currently popular, such as BF2 for a long time. Currently the latest thing we're playing is Team Fortress 2, but still a lot of BF2/PRMM and also some CSSource. Lots of members play MMORPG's as well. I played DAoC and Guild Wars for a long time.

Each household is limited to the use of one (1) e-mail address. Each household must use the same e-mail address throughout all sites owned or operated by mygiveawaycentral.com and related companies.

However the terms read differently..

Each household is limited to the use of one (1) e-mail address. Each household must use the same e-mail address throughout all sites owned or operated by HiSpeedMedia.

Yes, IF they are associated with IDEAL. If you have done an IDEAL site before and used a different email, I would go ahead and ask them if it is okay to proceed with a diff email, that way you can be sure.

I know someone else here has done that and they let him go with the site.

Not sure it is I-Deal but they seem to follow the same processes. I was confirmed after I faxed in my certificates. Mailing them did not work.

dmorris68

14-11-2007 05:41:13

They are not "I-Deal" in the strict sense. However, by all recent appearances, they are associated with I-Deal now (through a parent acquisition I'm guessing), and possibly being run by I-Deal staff or at least adopting I-Deal's business processes.

Hierarchies within these marketing companies are notoriously long and convoluted. From the DBA level that you deal with directly, up to the highest corporate owner, might be 3-4 or more levels apart. They are also notoriously tight-lipped about the details of those hierarchies to the general public, which is why we have so much speculation and so few hard facts. I've heard some rumors from people who were in a position to know a little more than the general customer, but still nothing concrete or official.

MyGiveawayCentral and GenerousGenie are the same organization, so whatever I-Deal association there is for one applies to the other.

My recommendation remains as I stated before judge GG/MGC on their own merits, and not on any apparent relationship with I-Deal. When they start shipping stuff with I-Deal's consistency, then you can consider them the same. However, since nobody I know of has reported payouts yet, I view them with a healthy amount of uncertainty compared to my view of I-Deal. The GG of old had a less than stellar reputation, certainly less than I-Deal's.

I posted that. It is not in the terms of the OP's site/link. What happened was that after this site started requiring a referral someone, trying to help, posted another 6 offer plasma site that didn't require a referral, within this thread. That site does have the cancellation part in its terms. I was trying to let everyone know; to make sure they did the right site (OP's Link) and not that link. If they are not showing up now then they probably wont when your offers go through. The best thing for you to do would to do your offers and then when they go through, open a support ticket and ask them what is going on with your offers and if they have gone through.

You'll be fine to do it if you're within the 60 days. The site has had a referral required for awhile now.

RolltheStampede

it might get delayed but i would think a mbp for 10 offers is a great deal even if you got it 6 months later right?

as long as there is no reason to be dqed then you are fine
remeber use same info
same phone number
same email address

your only rpoblem might be figuring out when you gold offers are complete but hopefully they fix that

Just so you know, IDEAL is DQing anybody who has gotten anything over $1000 from any DBA in the past 6 months. Someone posted in the IDEAL sticky that they are on hold cause of that....they changed their TOS again.

sucks.

I too know a number of people who were processed aroung early october who are still waiting on gifts.....I wish we can get some firm answer from I-deal on why they are holding up shipments...I-deal consistantly has shipped before 8 weeks, and for some reason there has been a delay lately....

edgespeeder04

28-11-2007 13:47:25

it makes no sense they shipped ppls gifts up to a few days before my processed day within 2 or 3 weeks of them being approved and now its takin 7-8 weeks for us and we havent heard of wth is up with our gifts? lol has anyone tried to e-mail them and ask them?

dmorris68

28-11-2007 13:57:22

It DOES make sense, because this is I-Deal. I've said it several times before, but apparently it bears repeating yet again

I-Deal is anything but consistent. I've been dealing with them for nearly 2 years now, and they've gone for months before without shipping anything, as well as shipping people out of sequence (some folks would should ship 2 weeks after processing while other folks were still waiting after 12 weeks). In fact the regular monthly shipments was a fairly new development over the last year. So don't assume that because they skip a month, or a batch of people, that they're insolvent or something.

With the presumed acquisition of the GG family, perhaps they're probably somewhat disrupted at the moment. Myself working for a company that frequently acquires other companies, I can attest to the fact that acquisitions sometimes turns things upside down for a few weeks/months while customers and systems are merged and such.

it kinda funny in a way, they put a freeze on everyone and its kind of a catch-22.

The only way to know if your offers are all approved is if you are a referral and your upline tells you you are green.

But if you know you are green and you have a green referal. then you should be approved. but then i can go right around and pull the conga line crap out of their butts and get you for that.

And if you don't have a referal, the account will probably expire before they approved the golds.

So either way you are screwed.

As has been discussed before, I-Deal does not do manual credit. They have never done manual credit (TOS aside). Their system is not setup to do individual offer credits. I've had this discussion with an I-Deal rep before who explained to me how it works. Short of picking up the phone and calling, say, Cosmetique, to confirm that you actually signed up, there is no mechanism in place. And you can be sure they aren't going to do that on a regular basis for the thousands upon thousands of customers they have.

All an I-Deal CSR can do is manually process and approve your entire [i5c6c58020c]account[/i5c6c58020c], not individual offers, based upon you proving that you actually completed the offers properly. They either have to see hardcopy proof, or contact the advertiser directly, to do that. And they don't have the manpower to do it on a large scale.

Note that I'm not defending them on this, I'm simply explaining how they work. I've long said they need a major system overhaul to get them up to date with other freebie sites, and the rep I talked to agreed. The system they have is buggy and antiquated, and it seems to cause the CSR's at least as much grief as it causes us.

As with any retailer, all we can do is vote with our wallet and go elsewhere. Of course organizing enough of a boycott to hurt their business is near impossible, much as it would be for the likes of Wal-Mart. They're huge, and can get along just fine without us "pro" freebie folks.

Actually, that's exactly what they want us to do. If they give everyone the run-around, and revoke a few offers here and there, they make a ton of money when people walk and don't do replacements.

Of course, doing replacements also gives them more money, and doesn't significantly increase your chance of actually receiving the gift, so you're screwed either way.

Well I ended up doing this site dispite waiting 30+ days to start and I am happy to report that all my offers credited without any problems and I printed of my forms and mailed them in.
My gold section never did show which offers were approved but I contacted CS and they informed me the group requirements were met by doing 3 offers. Then my redemption link magically appeared.

All in all, not a bad experience for me.....so far wink

[quote42d14978f8="manOFice"][quote42d14978f8="dmorris68"][quote42d14978f8="RyanG"]So, reciting their ToS makes me believe them? They DO have control, advertiser's don't log into your account and give you credit dude. They could contact them, they're just too lazy to do anything. Many sites, especially those found in the referral section have the option for Manual Credit, as does YF Direct.[/quote42d14978f8]

All an I-Deal CSR can do is manually process and approve your entire [i42d14978f8]account[/i42d14978f8], not individual offers, based upon you proving that you actually completed the offers properly.

They're huge, and can get along just fine without us "pro" freebie folks.[/quote42d14978f8]

I agree 100% but the odd thing is they can take away specific offers but can not grant the credit.....odd.[/quote42d14978f8]

Now you are starting to see the picture, eh? I respect dmorris68 and his explanation, but sadly, that is not how the system works.

LOL at bold. Just a kid you are.

Collecting is not tough. They don't pay within 30 days... all that is required is another trip to the court house and fill out one form. No problems with me![/quoted115c635f6]Question - can't you only go after them for the money that you are out, not the amount of the gift? I mean, most people have maybe $100 - $125 invested in an I-deal program. It seems to me that is all you could go after I-deal for.

If GG is now using the standard I-Deal claim form, it will have a claim number that is unique to your account. Whether that really matters or not with regards to redemption, I don't know, but I would be wary of filling in someone else's form -- with their claim code -- using your info. Sounds like a good excuse for them to DQ you. You're better off submitting a support ticket.

zr2152

17-12-2007 19:21:29

The form has a barcode on it with corresponding numbers to your account so getting a form from another person wont do you any good.

Email them and tell them you need to access your certs.

This is true. I received a $900 check yesterday for the 6 offer TV site.

My account was processed on 12/13/07 and I received the check on 12/19/07! That is VERY Fast!

Thank you Ideal for the wonderful Christmas present![/quoted97f2dddcc]

Did the memo line on the check say "TreasureGiveaways - Pla"? I am trying to figure out what site this check is from.

I did the plasmatv4free site and the 6 offer plasma site on mygiveawaycentral around the same time.[/quoted97f2dddcc]

Yes, it said TreasureGiveaways - Pla on the memo line, but the check is from I-Deal Direct Interactive, Inc. My check was for the 6 offer plasma site on mygiveawaycentral.

Quick ?

For all I-Deal sites with gifts worth more than $600, u can only complete one per 6 month period right?

Which of these companies (ideal, nuitech, ydf, brandarama) that you can't sign up for the same offer within a certain amount of timet?

IDEAL has the 6 month rule and as for the offers, you are never supposed to repeat an offer but in IDEAL's terms it says every 6 months for offers also, or at least it used to.

so I-deal has that rule over offers and gifts over $600?

Does anyone else not like this guy too much? Seems a bit arrogant for such a newbie. By the way, freeipodplayer, please do yourself a favor and hold the "new to FIPG but not new to the scene" response...I don't care. This forum exists as a sort of knowledge base; a place for people with questions to ask them, and for people with answers to post them.
