I was looking on the site and I noticed that the 360elite is only 4 offers (1-1-2)
No OODs but i have heard that they are on a 45 day crediting cycle. I'm thinking about doing it for like an elite and a wii.

Anyone had any success with this site? They look really legit.

Yeah, I did it during the summer for the wii and got a $250 check.

With YFDirect, you can only receive one prize per site. So on gadgetcity.com, you can only get one gift from them. YFDirect has a million sites. What I would do it get the 360 Elite from http//www.gadgetcity.com/dest?id=634&pid=1844166011&cid=4005&lid=1116 then get your wii from another YFDirect site ( http//www.gadgetoverstock.com/dest?id=778&promoid=101144&pid=1900001300&cid=56&lid=1102 ). They are a very good company. I have received multiple gifts from them, but they take awhile. On exactly the 45th day, the offers will credit. Send in your certificates, then wait 6-8 weeks. they are usually right on the dot. By the way, those links are not referral links.

This site would take very long to ship correct?

07

17-09-2007 11:00:46

no, 6-8 weeks after they get your certs. My last gift took 5 weeks, one before was 6 weeks.

[quote989ed27b2c="CougarKid"]This site would take very long to ship correct?[/quote989ed27b2c]

Once you go confirmed to ship it is not so long. But yes, this site does take forever for the entire process.

45 Days (Minimum) waiting for all your offfers to confirm
14 Days for confirmation
42 Days waiting for it to be shipped
____about 3-4 months.

After three products from them, this formula has been right each time.

07

17-09-2007 17:36:51

That formula has been right for you?

Ive never had to wait longer than 47 days for the crediting.
Never more than 5 days to confirm.

and never had to wait longer than 3 months in total.

My last gift (received last week) took 2.5 months in total.

Yes, it has been right. I had to wait about 55 days for crediting once. I called and they told me that they gave their sponsers two additional weeks to report to them. One of the other times it was 45 day exactlly.

5 days for confirmation is very good, I have never had that. I have never overnighted it before. Processing usually takes awhile.

Good job on the 2.5 months. So yes, that formula has worked for me =)

I think you're getting a little confused, Ideal has the 60 day limit not yfd

60 days from when you start your first offer.

So they better all work. I had a big problem getting a manual credit I was due-- had to do a BBB complaint. On the plus side, BBB complaints actually work with them.

I'll be back on November 10 to let you know if I had any trouble with offers crediting.

Don't worry too much if your offers stay pending. I have had half of my offers stay at pending the duration of the 45 days, and on the 45th day, it credited the same. Let me warn you though, KEEP ALL YOUR OFFER EMAILS. I have had a few through Netblue that didn't even register to them and all I had to do was send the confirmation email and I had credit within 1 hour. This is a great freebie company, just takes forever.

I agree. Monday I sent in my certs. for the black MacBook from anyfree laptops. Only two didn't go into progress out of 12 and I had manual credit within two hours of making a phone call and sending in emails and statements. Everyone should have the program Snagit or something like it to make screen shots of everything(a tip for the newbies). I used to have a link were you could get snagit for free if anyone is interested PM me.

Hi there people, new user here.

I have been scoping out the DIY scene for a while, and have decided to take a chance and do gadgetcity's site for a Wii.

After looking at the site, (and reading many forums about the site), I have noticed that the consensus is that GC takes 45 days minimum to credit you for any offer completed.

My question is, if I do say the gamefly offer, and don't especially like it after the first month, do I then have to keep the membership until the 45th day in order to get the credit, or can I cancel it after paying the first month, (since it only states in the pop up box that appears when you click on the offer link that you have to make a purchase, and does not specify a time frame to keep the membership).

Please understand that I am not trying to scam the system, I just want to know what you have encountered, so I do things right the first time.

Thanks,

V

If I might ask one more question

Is it a common practice for DIY sites to change the offers on the last page?

I ask because I don't want to do 2 offers for a 3 offer prize only to find that the offers are switched to OOD's

Sorry for the multiple questions, and thanks in advance for your responses.

I am not sure why you would refrain from using your real phone number?? I also believe you can get DQ'ed for it as it is giving them fraudulent information. Pretty sure FIPG does not condone this practice so I would conclude saying you should not give them a fake phone number.

So tonight I did Gadgetcity for the Wii, 3 easy offers for a $250 check. I kinda like that. Now if i understand I can't do anymore offers from gadget city, but can I do another Wii offer from one of those other links posted that offer them? I just prefer low offer deals (the higher ones are harder to keep track of and sometimes it's hard to find a deal I like and not repeat)

I signed up for this offer exactly 2 weeks ago today, doing Netflix as one of the offers. My other 3 offers are now "In Progress" which is good, but Netflix is still pending, which means they haven't even told GadgetCity I signed up.

Has anyone done Netflix and can tell me if they experienced the same lag time in it even going from "pending" to "in progress". I am still in the trial period of Netflix (I think it's over in a day or two) but I didn't think that would be a factor.

I know this was posted elsewhere but I can't find it now.

On the status page does certificate received mean GC has received my certificate or does it mean I received it. I sent them in a few weeks ago, I just don't remember the status if it changed.

i think you have to keep netflix beyond the trial for it to be reported to yfd. I havent heard of anyone getting credit for netflix on yfd and not keeping the trial. if not you will have to get manual credit.

thanks manOFice,
I gave it a good try using the search on this forum, but I find it difficult to navigate and I just couldn't find how to get manual credit. Maybe you or someone could point me to a link if it's a lengthy answer.

Do I contact Gadgetcity or the actual offer companies?

you just call them AFTER your 45 days are up and then they will give you options to send in proof you did the offer. they wont discuss anything till after the 45 days. but if you keep it past the trial im sure youll get credit for it and it will be a moot point

I have no problem doing another offer, but I want to do sign up for a credit card offer. My question is that will I have to wait another 45 days because my certificates expire around January 12th.

I just noticed a change on the status page. It looks, to my suspicious mind, like they're giving themselves more time to ship the gifts.

Where as the explanation for Confirmed used to read
[quotef54c1b617b]Confirmed
Your gift status is Confirmed once all required certificates are received at the gift redemption center. Your gift will soon enter the order process and will be shipped within 6 - 8 weeks.[/quotef54c1b617b]

It now reads
[quotef54c1b617b]Confirmed - When you have entered your email address and generated a Free Gift Card Certificate, your Reward Status is flagged as "Confirmed."[/quotef54c1b617b]

And "Shipped" now reads
[quotef54c1b617b]Shipped - Your gift card has been ordered and is on its way! Please allow 6-8 weeks to receive your reward.[/quotef54c1b617b]

I've been confirmed for several weeks, and am wondering if now I've been bumped back because of this definition change. I'll send off an email this afternoon and see if I get any clarification.
