I have received official news from Molly (an I-Deal rep that often helps us out here) that she asked me to pass on to those of you waiting and worrying about your bonus prizes, specifically the $800 Bose sound system.

Again, this means if your certificate was processed AFTER July 31, 2007 you will not be on this list, so PLEASE do not email me 50 times a day asking when you will be receiving yours, because not to be a jerk, but I will ignore you.

If your certificate was processed BEFORE July 31st and your email address is NOT listed, then please contact me immediately.

I am being sincere when I tell you that I do apologize to the people that have been waiting quite a while for their items, trust me when I say it’s been more stressful for me than it has been for you.

Post your thoughts here and if the majority are okay with the e-mails being posted, then she'll post them. If the majority do NOT want her to post the e-mails, then perhaps she can provide me with the list and I can let you know if you're on it. Keep in mind that this DIY forum is closed to guests and requires registration to view, so the chances are pretty slim that an e-mail address scavenger bot will get them. Perhaps I can obfuscate the list just in case.

Despite a current 12 to 5 vote in favor of publishing the e-mail list here, it dawned on me that since there is no password or other validation to login to accounts, it's probably not a good idea to publish them. I'll ask her to just provide me with the list, then I'll probably just send out an e-mail to the whole list saying "if you get this, then your bonus was processed." Those who don't receive it, but think you should, can ask me for confirmation.

Instead of posting the entire email address she can just leave out the domain names at the end.

Posting the list in here could lead to someone logging in your account and creating fraudulent activity that could in void your account and bonus gift or anything with ideal, it's not a good idea. You can send in support tickets on behalf of someone...do offers etc.

It's not hard to understand people. If you were processed before July 31st you will get your bonus gift in 3-4 weeks. If you were processed after that date you will get your bonus gift , just not in this batch.

although if you signed up for the offer when the bonus was the bose system and the offer turns to approved, you should still get the system (or the $800).

BTW even though i have no stake in the post/don't-post the e-mails, i voted no. people should be smart enough to know if they signed up for the bonus offer and when their account was approved. if they can't figure out if they are receiving their item in the next set to go out, they probably don't deserve it in the first place.

Just to clarify, if you signed up for the BOSE offer when it was still listed on the site that is what you will receive (after your certificate is received and processed).

I am either going to have to post just the first part of each person's email address as suggested or you are going to have message me individually.

I'm pretty sure there's nothing "wrong" at I-Deal. This is nothing unusual, their ship dates vary wildly, from unexpectedly quick to agonizingly slow, and it's always been that way. Just be patient, if they said they're shipping then there's no reason to believe otherwise.

I've not seen nor heard from Trish in over a year I think, so she may not be with the company any more.

Thats not the point...the point is... we are owed it and some of us (me included) have been waiting a very long time and want to make sure we get it. We were already told about 10 weeks after you're processed... then molly said 3-4 weeks we would get it and we're now on the 5th week with nothing...we're just chatting here to keep people up to date on if anyone has received it.

And yeah colleges give software out basically for free.... but it's worth a lot more.. office 2007 is probably worth hundreds...

I've not complained. But I feel that if a company such as I-Deal or any of these sites advertises something like they did, they need to follow through like they seem to be doing now. It would be false advertising to say you'll get one thing for an offer, such as Cosmetique, and then not fulfill their end of the bargain. They've been around awhile so they had to know what they were offering for that offer and the ramifications of all the people like us that would do that one particular offer. That's why they've now changed the offer to receive a VISA gift card for $25 now.

And please don't say "it's a bonus", because it really isn't. Yes I got my TV. Thanks. But I did an offer that told me I'd get a Bose system if I did that offer. I didn't have to, but I did. It would be a bonus only if I never did the offer and I still got the check or sound system. I would not have expected anything other than a TV.

Anyways, yes, thanks to those that are working on this. But I don't feel we should in anyway grovel at their feet for them just doing their jobs.

Honestly, I still think we are going to get our bonus.

I have no idea on the time frame, but if last month is any indication, they sent out the checks towards the end of the month. I am looking for mine around the 24-25th area.

The pattern on the TV's was processed at the beginning of the month, TV comes towards the end of the month. That has held consistently for three months now. I am hoping that the bonus checks will come the same way.

I do, however reserve the right to become a cynic at the end of this month if no word or checks show up.

I don't think the list exists. There was a list originally for people who were confirmed before a certain date. Te rest of us are all shooting in the dark.

We've never seen a list and until beerman got an update, none of us had heard from i-deal either.

In essence, we have no idea about these gifts, if there is a list, or if we happen to be on it.

OK, we have an issue...
My Ref on CSC for the 42" LCD got their tv ok last month and thought all was over..now they got one of the $800 checks that you are talking about today! There was no special bonus gift I dont think in the consumer saving center site was there?
If not, what should we do with it?

don't worry about the "expired" status.. happened to me before and support said that happens after 60 days or something
