While you really should NOT use a virtual card unless it has a backup source such as a bank or another CC (because then are you basically screaming you are trying to fraud them), I have never used that site, nor heard of anyone else buying from it. Everyone seems to get them at stores or www.simon.com. Please try and use a real CC if at all possible )

Because most sites & networks consider posting lists of completed offers as constituting a walkthrough. It's one thing to say "I'm having trouble with offer X crediting" but another thing entirely to say "these are all the offers I've done."

Standard I-Deal cycle right now is 20 days for initial offers, 24 hours for replacements. There are a few exceptions to that rule, but very few.

This is YFDirect so there is no 60 day limit and manual credits are actually quite easy.

Yeah. ShoppersSavingCenter's laptop promotion is still no refs, but the laptops aren't as high-end as this one or some of the others. Be patient though, I'm sure they'll turn up.

I-Deal doesn't notify of you of anything regarding shipment. Sometimes the wording of your status changes slightly about the time they order the gifts, but that's not consistent so isn't a good rule of thumb. I've had a shipment show up before the status wording changed before.
It either just shows up, or if it's a big item like a plasma, you get a call from the trucking company to schedule delivery.

I was disappointed by the misleading documentation making me think it had a blu ray player on it. But that's not a jibe at ideal, just at Sony for their "one size fits all" policy on documentation.

my co-worker had 8 of her 10 offers approved, 1 silver and 1 gold did not go through. i told her about the replacements, not sure if she did them or not.

on a personal note (and i'm definately not complaining), the only thing i don't like about the vaio is it doesn't have the number keypad on the right side. my toshiba has the keypad and it's hard to not have it when you are so used to it.

my co-worker's 2 replacements turned to approved and she's mailing out her certificate today. her getting the laptop will make me happier than everything i've received so far combined.
i-deal has always been good about sending high-ticket items across the board, i was definately surprised by the specs of my toshiba. i do not think they would order a lower priced laptop if someone requested one color vs a higher priced one if someone requested a different color.
for all we know, the 'select a color' was just a gimmick and everyone will be receiving the same color. until we get multiple sets of proof pictures, we're all still in the dark on that one.

The DBA is Direct to Consumer Interactive. It is the registrant, not the registrar name.
This is how it appears on the whois site

Just to clarify you can repeat a DBA, but there is a $1000 limit per DBA per 6 months. So if you get $1000+ from a single DBA, you have to wait 6 months to complete another site run by that same DBA, but you can still do other sites by other DBA's. You can never repeat the exact same site+DBA combination, though.

after my confirmation e-mail popped up on the plasma tv site, i told my co-worker to check her mail and she had one for this site.
so if anyone's been waiting since the last week in august/first week in september, keep an eye on your e-mail.

My forms were processed on the 19th. It says my laptop will be shipped 6 to 8 weeks from the 19th... will it take another 6 to 8 weeks after it is shipped for me to receive it?

I urge you and all other newbies to just read all the topics pertaining to Ideal. You will have any answer you have about them answered by just reading.
#1 rule about ideal... don't start it until you know how everything works.
You can't compare ideal with YFD...just as well you can't really compare any of these DIY sites to each other as they are all different )

my co-worker received her laptop yesterday and she brought it into work today.
according to the bottom of the computer, the model number is PCG-8Z2L
i googled that model number but could not find anything
the one item of note is it's full 1080HD. had i known she'd be bringing it in this morning, i would have brought my camera.
i clicked on the pcconnection link and the picture looks the same (her laptop is black also).
she was approved 09/19.

It's really random. Sometimes it will never change. and then sometimes it will change to "your gift will be shipping soon" aka shipped
