I googled and found this site (www.freelaptopwebsites.com) with different DIY free laptops. There I found the link below. Anybody know if it is iDeal? I would do sleeknewlaptops, but I signed up and didnt do any offers a while back. Thanks in advance.

Woah, Thanks for the link. Doing this for my uncle now =) he wanted a laptop. I'll drop by his house and do it tommarow. No refs to boot! And a vaio! I-deal is quite generous.

I didn't realize a viao was anything to right home about. I think i'd rather find another site w/ a toshiba on it.

I take it that you and most here don't like Sony laptops? What's wrong with them?

I have a Sony laptop at work. It's a piece. I replaced the keyboard for the 3rd time the other day. I'm sorry but the thing doesn't move off of the desk often, and does not get worked that hard (a lot less than my personal gateway notebook that does tend to get beat more).
To be honest, Sony has gone down hill in everything over the years. They used to have great quality stuff all around, and now there's not a thing I think I would buy w/ the Sony name on it whether it be car audio, home theater, or computers. About the only thing I'd want from them is a walkman!

ah, I obviously should have asked my last question here
anyone know who this site is doing business as? I can't find any company listed in the T&Cs.

Ah, with some friendly help (and then realizing to do a whois) I figured out my question Direct to Consumer Interactive, Inc.
Anyone notice this though

dmorris68
01-07-2007 13:27:49
They've renewed many of them in the past when they expired. It's a bit unsettling though to be waiting for credit and then the site disappear.
One thing you might do now is record the IP address, then add it and the domain name to your hosts file. That would probably work to keep the site alive past a domain expiration.

I wouldnt do any offers til they renew it IMO

I sent them an email, although I don't really expect an answer. Where is Molly at these days?
My problem is I already signed up for it... if I wait 30 days, I only have 30 left to do the site.

Since you've signed up, I'd go ahead and complete it ASAP. They've honored payouts from expired sites before. And if you'll go ahead and record the IP address and add the domain name to your hosts file, then bookmark or note the site ID for redemption purposes, you should be fine. They don't normally take the site offline right when the domain expires (unless they're retiring the site) so it should still be available via the hosts file entry.

I singed up but I'm thinking it over....
1. I completed deckoutyourdeck for the check, I don't remember when that was.
2. I signed up Friday night, didn't do any offers yet.
3. I'm worried about the site expiring.
4. I have my paypal debit card, I need to pay my CC first so I can use it, I don't want to use my PP card at all.
Should I still do it?

Depends on who's running them.
I-Deal is only one of many DIY networks that run free laptop/plasma/camera/console/whatever sites and advertise via banners and spam. You have to know what to look for in their terms of service, or their WHOIS info, to determine for certain if they're I-Deal or not.

Well, in contrast to my troubles with plasmatv, I had all my offers credit on this site on the first try D (I was so shocked I had to read it twice).
Which is good, since according to the sheet it must be there by the 24th. I guess I'll overnight it Monday morning. I really don't get what's up with that.

You can do as many as you want (provided they have enough offers you can legitimately complete) but there is a $1000 limit per DBA per 6 months.

You can complete the same DBA multiple times, just within the $1000 per six months restriction. You cannot complete the same [i60f0185465]site[/i60f0185465] more than once, however.
Since Inner Concepts is a new DBA and they just started shipping plasmas (worth $1000+), you can't do SleekNewLaptops or any other Inner Concepts site until you wait six months.

This I just found.
http//www.laptopfreestore.info/
Sorry if we're not allowed to link, but I think this site is bogus, just need confirmation.
I was browsing google for free laptops and came across what looks to me like a total rip off of Ideal. They seem to use their fonts, graphics, and pictures, just the offers are way easier which tells me something's fishy.
When you click on Contact Us, they just have an email address
Can anyone here verify if these people are legit or a scamming company?
I mean, 3 offers for a laptop, or 4 offers for laptop and $500?
