I was glancing through my spam folder and this one caught my eye.

6 offers, 2 per page, for a Canon 20D liplusli if you finish within 30 days you also get a bonus Sony laptop!

I looked through pages 1 & 2 and started getting excited to see the usual, easy offers. I fully expected OOD's on page 3, but figured so what I'm planning to take out a car loan soon anyway, and so what if I have to spend a few hundred on page, the prizes were well worth it.

Well, imagine my surprise to see these page 3 offers

shock Holy Crap! So I'd have to spend a liminimumli of $2000 on page 3!!!

No thank you, I could buy the 20D AND the laptop outright for less than that.

Do people really do Page 1 and Page 2 offers without looking at Page 3 first?

As usual, it's only worth it if you needed those things either way.

Hey, take in some foster kids and the state will probably cover the cost of the furniture. ;)

They don't cover furniture, but they pay you monthley for expenses...etc. and when the kid take drivers ed, you pay for it then they re-inburse you...same with a car...5-10k for a car...but the gov't repays you after YOU buy it...kinda ghey, lol. My mom was gonna take on a foster kid who is my brothers friend, but he went to juvinile hall, then drug rehab instead...

They'll reimburse for SOME furniture, I doubt $1500 worth though. And besides, taking on foster kids is a job, trust me -- my wife and I have done it.

Had 3 kids of our own still at home at the time, plus another friend of our kids' who had nowhere to stay, and THEN took on 2 young foster kids. It was a madhouse for the 4-5 months they were here, let me tell you. We did get reimbursed for regular expenses, a per-diem for food, and they paid us for buying a couple wardrobes and futons for the bonus room where they slept.

No thanks, I'd rather just pay full price for the camera and laptop. P

If it weren't for those folks, there would be no freebies for us

but i guess if you were in the market for a euro trip, and some excercise equipment, this would be the freebie site for you.
