I complained to everybody and their dog about not getting my plasma tv just like a lot of other people. I complained to the Attorney General of Pennsylvania about the issue because I heard that yourchoicereward.com was based out of there and after a few letters back and forth I finally got a letter from Tom Corbett (the Attorney General) and there was a letter attached from webdirect.net, webdirect.net owns the subsidiary yourchoicereward.com. The letter was from the vp of consumer affairs, susan gierasch, it stated that they never received my w-9, even though I know they did and that as soon as I completed the attached w-9 and faxed it too her then they would send my plasma tv. I just thought I would tell everyone that it finally looks like this site is gunna fucking pull through.

I did two sites, pocketpc4free and the Canon Rebel camera where I was a referal for Wolfe and I did 10+ offers and had a referal. So I have 15 days to reply back to this guy with a letter. So, I wrote up the letter and told him I had proof of my offers and referals.

Can we get some clarification on one item - is the company you received your letters from webdirect.net or webclients.net?
Does anyone have any idea how/if this company is involved with i-dealdirect? I'm sure we've all seen the site that links YCR to i-dealdirect, so this new site is an interesting development.
Would it be something like this
CSC > bullseye > i-dealdirect
YCR > webclients > i-dealdirect
Is there anyway to post a picture of the letters (with account holder information removed) or at least type out what was said so we can all over-analyze it?
To those who received the letters - how long had it been from the time you submitted your confirmation paperwork to the BI address in Portland?
There have been a handful of people who received "thanks for sending in your paperwork, you'll receive your gifts within 6-8 weeks" e-mails almost 2 months after they mailed their forms in. Did you guys jump the gun and start complaining right away, or did you give them sufficient time to process your paperwork?

Giving this a little bit of a bump - hoping to get some more information to answer some questions I asked in my earlier post.
Although i'm happy for everyone - looking at all these posts from people who received TV from the different i-dealdirect sites is really starting to tick me off.
I'm a week from it being two months since BI received my redemption certificate and i've received no feedback from them (no surprise there) and I have a folder an inch thick of e-mails, webpages and USPS/UPS backup showing my history with the site.
All I need is to figure out how many different companies and attorney's general I have to forward it to.

So about 7 weeks? That's not long enough to get steamed about yet. ;)
Some folks go 12 weeks or more before being shipped, while others get it in as little as 2 weeks or 5 weeks. I-Deal doesn't ship in a regular, FIFO manner. They batch up a lot of orders over time and then suddenly make a big shipment all at once. And they never reply to status requests so that's not unusual either -- there is no "feedback" to expect until you either get your gift or your DQ notice.
Be patient, grasshopper. One thing I liknowli they don't like is threats to go to the BBB and AG offices. As people found out with Trish over at A4F, once you mention those little acronyms, what customer service you might have gotten is immediately cut off, and you're referred to their non-responsive legal department. Just give it time and be nice. If 15 weeks go by and you don't have either a gift or a DQ, then you'll have a good case.

I bumped the topic to get an idea of how long others who received e-mails had been waiting (because shouting from the rooftop obviously worked for them) and get additional answers to what had already been said. Part of my frustration is knowing I could have jumped on the csc train, and either had a tv or check by now.
The biggest difference between ycr and csc (along with the other i-deal sites) is those companies didn't shut their webpage down completely and go rogue. I think it's fair to give them a little less slack than csc (who had trish become a4f's pinata).
The timelines for some of these people to actually receive their TV/Check has been insane. It shouldn't take ycr this long to say, 'wait another 6-8 weeks' (when it said that on the original redemption form).

When did your certificate get processed? Did your status ever change from "Your free gift will be mailed out within 6 to 8 weeks" to "Your free gift will be mailed out shortly"? I guess your referral hasn't gotten anything have they?

WOW, I just got a call from a freight company scheduling delivery of a Dell TV. I got a tracking number and it gonna be here next Monday. From the tracking info it's 2 pieces (speakers and TV I'm assuming) and weighs 146 lbs. I can't believe this site actually came through for me, what a relief.
I started this site back in late February, sent certs in March, certs processed in May, delivery in July.

I was able to find my order on the dell site using my tracking number as a reference number, and it's not the W4200, it's the newer and more expensive W4201C. It doesn't say it's refurbished either so this is a over $2000 in value! Even if it does wind up being refurbished it's $1900 and I'll still be one happy mofo to get something out of this site!

That's insane....
I first submitted mine on 04/13 and it was returned
"your item was undeliverable as addressed at 1136am on April 15, 2006 in Portland, OR 97225. It is being returned if appropriate information is available"
As soon as I saw that message (04/25, I have the printout), I UPS'd everything out to them again (along with the USPS printout from the first submission) which they received on 04/27 (have a print out of that too).
To be honest, I don't think I ever checked the webpage to see if my status there was updated (and then we all know the site dropped from orbit) and so far I have still not received the approval e-mail.
You submitted yours much later than Ziti, Evan and Betty and received the call...odd, but very cool for you. Maybe something good will happen to me this week.

"Them" was just the delivery company that Dell used to ship the plasma. Calling the delivery company obviously won't do you any good unless ideal actually ordered the tv. I've got the name and address of the company that paid for it and the name of the guy that actually ordered the TV if you want that, but I'm not sure if it will help you or not.

I for one am happy to close this chapter of my freebie life. i'll take a few days to decide if i want to use the check for the 4201c and if i want to start up an account for the 24" monitor.
