I don't believe that's correct wrt consumergain. Can't remember but I thought it tells you that you must remain a member after the 7 day trial passes. At the very least, I did not receive credit until a couple weeks after my initial signup (and after paying the 4 week/monthly fee).
Give the choice between Brandarama and Consumergain - I'd go CG. They at least appear to deliver fairly quickly after you have qualified. Brandarama seems to take forever to ship. Both seem to have the same problems with getting a response to inquiries about manual credit.
ewwww, i just noticed on the popup window for bargains.com. It says you must stay past the free trial and pay for 4 weeks of membership before you get credit. ( guess ill do the discover card and buy $1 of gas.

There's only one way to use a CC. )
Applying for too much credit within a short period of time, especially when those accounts are being approved and opened, will lower your credit score. Creditors don't like to see people in a flurry of acquiring a lot of credit quickly -- it's a sign of impending risk. This is particularly true with revolving credit accounts like CC's, and less true with installment loans like for cars and mortgages.

Nope. As long as you pay the balance off every month, there will be no fees or finance charges. Unless you're opening one of the annual fee cards, but most, outside of Amex, do not charge annual fees unless they're some sort of "specialty" card.

I used my normal Visa and I have a cancellation confirmation so any further charges will be disputed.
Time Factor isn't a scam, it's just you can't cancel until AFTER the first shipment. You can send it back for a refund too.

I started on this last night and i'm looking at a total of approx $80, and that's if everything credits and I don't need to sign up for any additional offers. I think I started on a bit late and may have missed some of the cheaper offers.

I mailed the voucher on 6/26 and the card arrived yesterday by certified mail. There's no PIN so you can't use it at an ATM.
They give you the billing address though so you can use it for online purchases and I added it to my Paypal account without a problem.

When you sign up for sites like this there is a contract(ToS), if you don't fulfill the requirements they have no obligation to you.
Personally I would just sign up for Earthlink, it only takes about two weeks to credit.

You'd be surprised what they check and don't check at some places. A lot of these companies rely so much on their automatic systems that if it says someone is complete, they don't even check. That being said I still say do another offer...

Yea, I probably will end up doing the second offer, but I was going to wait and see if they mess up and send me the gift card first....
I see it like this...
-They get my cert and [ic184e6878c]maybe[/ic184e6878c] check my account, if all goes to plan I get my card in three weeks, if they find the error, the following happens
-They send me an e-mail saying that I didn't fulfill their TOS and that either (a)I get DQ'd for it or (b)I have to go back and do another offer
-If I'm DQ'd, then I'll e-mail them back noting that the only reason I ever sent in the certs is because of their mistake of leading me to believe that my requirements were met and they can't DQ me for their own mistake
-Then I'll ask them to just let me do another offer and I get my card anyways
I'm pretty sure it'll play out like that, but someway or another I'll get that card...
One more question though, is there any change in status when they receive your cert?

Well, the only instant offer for me was South Beach, then it took the rest of the offers 3 days to green shrug , so don't get too worried...

I posted on Wednesday that there has been no update on my status page that my form has been received or is processing (it's probably the same with your account). I sent my form certified from work, that's why I have specific dates. If you're that paranoid, go ahead and send another one - guess it can't hurt.
Or, since you mailed yours a business day before mine, you could hold off and wait another week or two to see if our cards arrive around the same time. From another person's timeline, he received his less than three weeks after mailing his form (sent 06/26, received 07/14). If that timeline holds true for us, we should receive ours by sometime late next week or early the week after.

Bargain is disgustingly hard to get credit from....I've called three different companies at least five times each, sent out tons of e-mails and still haven't gotten any credit....
Don't know about the other two though...On other sites, earthlink and netflix credit fast, ConsumerGain is very inconsistent....

i used the 'contact us' link at the bottom of the status page and sent a message through the website as well as an e-mail to the address that's listed on the same page. i did that on a thursday late afternoon/early evening and someone responded to the e-mail on friday afternoon telling me they had made the link live on my account.
i think i got lucky, because it's taken a couple of other people a bit longer to receive theirs.

that should be no problem to fix, just cross out the gift name on the redemption form and write the name of the correct gift next to it. I signed up for the xbox360, but later changed my mind and went for the visa.

Since they had you down for the Applebee's card, I guess you have a good reason to be asking about your account. They received my form 2 weeks ago (and the form says to give them 4-6), I won't be sending them any e-mails for a while. Hopefully others will be just as patient.
I would be interested in knowing the 'something or other' regarding the visa card - if you still have the e-mail, you can copy/paste it. Personally, I don't think it's that difficult to call ecount (or whoever else they are using) and say "i'd like to purchase a 500 card and have it sent here...".

Well, according to the Customer Service rep, they shipped out a whole batch on Friday through USPS....
He gave me a tracking number and said that I should be able to track it by today, but it still comes up with 'no record found for this item'....I'm guessing that's because it just got shipped out today and they don't update it until the end of the night....

Well - if three people in front of me are saying their card didn't arrive, I guess there's no point in looking forward to checking today's mail.
USPS doesn't hold on to anything, although CG could have sent them book-rate (i know it isn't a book) or 2nd/3rd class and that could be causing the delay. Side note I am waiting on something I signed up to from FMV on 08/09 and that hasn't arrived yet either.
Let's all hope for tomorrow.

She provied me with the tracking for my card when i first emailed her, but it showed up invalid aswell for several says until 8/21 monday, when it was scanned in and shipped. Later the next day i received the card 8/22, because their location is about 10 mins drive from where i live.

i live in arizona - if these are being mailed out from SF and it was sent 08/18, it shouldn't take 7 mail days for it to show up.
if yours was sent 08/18 like the rest of ours, i can't see a reason why your tracking number would show up but the others wouldn't.

Delivery Confirmation is not live tracking, so it's not at all uncommon to show no record of a DC number until it's delivered. Usually though it will say that "We have received electronic shipping notification from the shipper to expect your package" or something like that.
It just depends on the scanning sequence and timing. I've also had it happen with UPS and FedEx, although not as often.

I was just going to post this. The bolded would only apply if CG used an electronic source for mailing the cards. Usually they use the green forms w/ the return receipt card, so nothing will update @ the PO until it gets scanned when you pick up the item.
I got a # from Jess and it says no record of this item, but if you keep the above statement in mind, no one should worry--especially if you live cross-country like I do...

i would be more inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt if they were telling everyone, "we've purchased the cards from company X, it usually takes them 5-7 days to process and ship them".
but the fact they are giving everyone tracking numbers and they still haven't arrived (8 mail days later) or shown up in USPS, doesn't make me very comfortable.
i don't think the issue is with ALL of our home POs.

Didn't even think to look into this stuff, I was just so exicted...
Anyways, the postmarked date says Aug.29?? But the letter that came with it signed Jess, was written on Aug.18....I'm guessing she really did ship it out when she said she did, but the San Francisco P.O. is lazy, or just really, really slow....
Plus the tracking number STILL won't work....

the card has 'stored value', but there is no PIN number included (similar to the eCost cards).
you can use the card as a debit/credit card at a store or over the phone/internet, but you cannot take it to an ATM.
it may seem like a bummer, but it's great for using at the grocery store or paying your electric/cable bill (you won't have to use your regular debit card and dip into your checking account).

manofice the on hold doesnt mean hold like other sites. my site said the same thing, i emailed them about it, and they said my account is not on hold. dont necessarily know what they mean by it.
