They said that sony no longer makes the Plasma they had said they were sending but have found a compareable TV because of complaints about the TUner without speakers and a tuner... He told me it was a pannasonic but was on back order so i had the option of takin a check for $1000 right away instead of waiting for the pannasonic. He said he didn't know when it would be in but I was first on the list to receive it... Hopefully it comes soon! (friday is my 8 weeks, so the LG's are probably going to be out of stock right before they shipped mine or something...)

Even if it was like 1500 I would take the cash, but for 1000 definitely worth waiting for the tv. That's good news on the panasonic, I wonder why no more lgs

Sounds like they are trying to feel people out and save some money, Take a $1000 bucks or wait 6-8 weeks or whenever.... Did you ask them why the amount was so small?

Oh well, i was told 2-4 weeks until delivery...
Could also be a way to see if you put your real phone # in...

Yea no shit... I would have taken 2K for sure I think, but idk about 1500... i want the TV, and my dad is definatelly not goin to let me spend money that could go to college on a 42" Plasma... I was trying to think of ways to get the check, cash it, order a TV online, and make him believe it was the TV they were sending... he looks at my bank statements every month (i'm 18 living in his house, so his rules S)

anyone have any idea what Panasonic they might be sending? I looked on TechDepot and they don't carry a panasonic. So anyone got a clue? I still got 6 weeks till I reach my 8 weeks so I am hoping they are in stiock by then! -)

Jesus, first 8 weeks, now 12?? I seriously dont get why. The only thing is if they are running out of money or something. I have an efg and msg account, and dont want either of the plasmas, so im not sure what I am going to do. I want to sell the plasma for more than $1k....

my boyfriend just called them yesterday to see if he could get the money instead of the tv (he's due to be shipped in 3 weeks) and they told him they are no longer offering the $1000 since not enough people were willing to take it.

they call about the plasma only... i think... and the number was a 650 area code if I remember right, i almost didn't answer it thinking it was stupid sales people or real estate people...

makes sense, 650 is Cali (i think)
