I just wanna know is it possible to get cash from them or do you always have to use it as a credit card? I guess if worse came to worse I could send the money to my paypal and then to my bank account XD.

i dont think you can do that. as paypal isnt a bank.

I was under the impression that you could fund a paypal account via a credit card, and then withdraw to a bank account, but I may be mistaken.

Yes, you can do that.

The Nuitech cards I received recently ($75 and $500) both worked as debit cards at an ATM - I just withdrew cash, no problem. $2.50 fee and $250/day limit, though.

i am pretty sure the only way you can "fund" your paypal account is through a bank account. this way they don't get charged service fees. if you pay for an item after an auction that you won and need to send money instantly (and your account does not have suffient funds), then you are able to withdraw money from a cc.
other than that, i can't really think of a way to get money out of it besides and atm.....or using it for purchases.

all you have to do is get like an epassporte account, anyone who uses pokerroom should be familiar with this site, it is like paypal but you run it straight off of a debit or credit card, but of course it charges you, although i'm not sure how much all i remember is that when i transfered 300 bucks to poker room it took like 10 bucks from me, but if you put the money on there you can transfer it to your bank account but i dont see why you wouldnt just use an atm.

This is probably too complicated, but send money from the visa gift card to a friend and then have them send it back or pay you back? max receiving for free accounts is $500 though. but avoids the $2.50/withdrawal or whatever ATM charge. P

If you mean through Paypal, then the fees would be more than $2.50 since you can't receive credit card payments without upgrading.

that is where i became confused. but...back to williebeamin2000's idea...why would i pay $10 to transfere the money like 2 times, when it costs like 5 bucks out of an atm and is instant?
the only other way i can think of is to create a fake ebay auction (with a friend) with a buy it now of $500. after purchasing and paying through paypal, you would wait a few days, and have your friend who set up the auction refund the payement. they would receive their fees back (for the most part at least), and you would have your $500. the bad part --> time, a mess, and kinda fraud.
i would say use your new card like a regular credit card to buy stuff, or pay the $5 at a local atm near you.

if you send a credit card payment and the other person refunds it, it gets credited back to your credit card, not to your paypal account. paypal is not stupid. it is not possible, to my knowledge, to get funds from a credit card into a paypal account without paying fees. its just common sense, since it costs paypal money to charge your card in the first place.

yeah...i guess you're right. stupid visa gift cards. oh well, i will just put out the 5 bucks or whatever it takes.

How would you withdraw from an ATM though? Wouldn't you need a pin number?
I dunno, I've never had one of these new GCs before...

What if you bought a money order with the gift card? If there are no fees for using a credit card, then you could just cash the money order yourself and effectively get all the money into your bank account without any fees.

BRILLIANT! assuming you can buy money orders with credit cards? i haven't ever tried, but that is an awesome idea.
have you tried or know of a place that will let you do so? the only reason that i doubt it will work is that a $500 money order would cost a business about $15 in cc charges. like, would it work at walmart? i don't know if they usually just take cash or what.
but, in response to Excel--->
i believe they send you a pin number that you may use

Yeah you have to have a pin. You also need the pin to even activate the card.

I've already thought of this and tried it, but it won't work, at least not with any of the iCardsystems gift cards from Nuitech. Those cards require you to use it as a credit card, but you can only buy money orders with a debit card. I tried to use it as a debit card and enter the pin, but it won't go through. And I asked the lady at the grocery store if I could process it as a credit card and she said no.

I have used it as a credit card in many stores.

yeah, i think it will depend on what store you use it in. nonetheless, if they will take it, this is a great idea. i am going to try it 'cause mine should be here this week!
has anybody tried at a walmart or dillions? i will probably try my local grocery store first...or maybe the post office?

To buy a money order? I guess I was wrong then. I've tried it at Shoppers Food Warehouse and the Post Office and both have told me that I can only buy a money order using a debit card.
