Does anyone do this? Thinking about shipping my voucher from IRC for a Mastercard through USPS Priority Mail (I'm impatient).

Priority doesn't really get there any faster, and with IRC you're going to be waiting anyway. The benefit I can see for using Priority would be that then you could add signature confirmation to the package.

I dunno.. I usually send priority.. the 2 times I sent them plain stamp it seemed to take longer.
But in the end -- no matter how fast you get it there -- it depends on when they actually go in to process it.

Ive never used priority to send vouchers. Maryland isnt too far from florida anyways.... IRC always confirms getting my voucher within 3 business days.

I was gonna send my next one Priority just so I could add confirmation. I thought about signature confirmation, but I'd be afraid it'd just never get signed for. I dunno...

There's a difference between delivery confirmation and signature tracking - with signature tracking, someone has to sign for it (they won't deliver it unless someone signs). With delivery confirmation, they just scan the envelope before they drop it in the recipient's mailbox.

ive sent 3 different voucher packages all first class using a stamp.
I sent in my efg.com vouchers using certified but that was because my pops took it over and shipped it with a hole bunch of letters he was getting certified.

I know the difference between delivery and signature confirmation.. I was saying that I'd be afraid nobody would sign for it if I sent it with signature confirmation (at this lesser known ConsumerSavingCenter place).

ok...my point was to explain (for others too) that signature confirmation [i66333e90f9]requires [/i66333e90f9]a signature, delivery confirmation doesn't.

I just sent my Voucher for the IRC iBook an hour or so ago by priority mail with delivery confirmation. It cost me $4.55 and will be there by Monday.
I got a shitload of USPS mail supplies for free (Thanks KeithA wink ) so I figured I might as well put them to use.

Yeah I also ship all of my vouchers priority. Figure it is worth an extra $4 for the confirmation and just to be safe. + it gets there a little earlier. For me it is 2 days instead of 4 or 5 days.

if you print up your priority label on usps.com delivery confirmation is free!

I've sent vouchers via Priority and regular mail and for me, they all seem to take about 2-3 days or so. So I don't pay the extra money for Priority mail anymore, I just send it regular mail.

i started out sending them priority, but then realized it was a waste of money and quit... (waste of money IMO)

If you're just concerned about speed, then yes, it's a waste of money. I think most people that do it, do so for the delivery confirmation, which you can't get on first class mail. I just sent a voucher off this morning to less than 200 miles away, but sent it Priority just to get the delivery confirmation. Plus the envelope is free, so it's a steal! P

Well I just sent it out regular mail yesterday, I live in Maryland so it shouldn't take more than a few days to get to Florida.

If you're concerned about your voucher arriving there, First-Class Mail is generally very reliable. For proof of mailing purposes, the Certified Mail option is cheaper than Priority Mail. The speed difference is about 1 day between First-Class and Priority, so speed difference should not be much of a factor.

its taken me 2 weeks in the past, Like I'd send off on a monday, they'd say they got it on friday, and I'd get my gift that following friday, or monday.
Right now my cousin sent off a voucher about 11 days ago, and they still don't have it... weird.
but most of the time, except for gift cards which always take an extra week, its 2 weeks from mailing voucher to receiving gift.

For TheUseful (NuiTech), my status changed 3 days after sending the voucher 1st class mail.
When I send out vouchers, I also print the address according to post office guidelines as well as include a FIM (Face Identification Marking) and POSTNET barcode on my envelopes. This might speed up the mail processing by a couple hours because my mail never needs to be processed by a human but it is unlikely that it makes any difference (it'll arrive there the same day either way).

Did you get in on iBook when it was 6 offers?

I think the verdict is it doesn't make much of a difference. Priority is great for mailing packages for instance or very bulky envelopes.
http//www.usps.com/business/mailingtools/mailingproducts.htm?from=home&page=mailingproductsservices
2-3 days for 1st class and 2-3 days for priority listed on the USPS website.
If you're really in a hurry you could just suck it up and pay $15.00 for overnight.
