First stab at DIY, want to get a Laptop - Recommendations?

I've basically stolen my husband's laptop, so I need to replace it. I'm not really in the mood for getting refs right now hence the venture into DIY. I've looked through the stickies and recommendations, but there are a lot of sites and requirements and I don't want to sign up for something crappy. Here's what I'm looking for - we don't need a mac, so those are out. I kind of want a higher end laptop but if they are a lot more hassle then I can settle for less. We don't need it [bfef6b3d609]right now[/bfef6b3d609], we can wait a little for delivery. I would prefer not to do any OOD or credit card offers. Plus I have already done quite a few offers in the rest of my freebie seeking. So, your recommendations? Any info would be appreciated, like how many tiers of offers and amount.

Off the top, I'd say do the laptop from IOG for 5 offers. It looks really good. The link to it is in the list to all sites thread.

I don't think you can move specific posts into other threads in phpbb (and I just tried to do it). Best bet may be to have GRDJ just copy the post into the correct thread and lock this one.

Which link is the one for 5 offers? There's a couple of laptops listed for IOG.
