They called me. I'm sorry I gave them my SS # at this point. There is no way around the fact that I'm being ripped off but at the same time, there is no way for me to force them to do otherwise. Unless I take them to court and give them grief over it. $400 is something and really, they don't have to give anything at all. They could have easily pulled a pollprizer and said they would only give $150 to $250 for instance. You may very well end up with a $400 check as well. How long have you beenin fufillment?

The scooter is no longer being manufactured. The bottom line is these DIY companies are shady. The " it only says up to $800" line is pure crap.
Heck, maybe they will give the people who completed 10 offers the full $800.
If I had known they would do this bs, I really would have just completed 6 offers for the $500 GC.

I have no idea. I wish I could find out whether or not he got the $800 check. I'm just fed up at this point. On one hand, $400 isn't bad at all. But considering that I'm getting half of what I thought I would be getting...Of what I should be getting...The more I think about it the more pissed off I get. Right now they're available on amazon.com for $500. Elsewhere they retail for $800. So what the rep said isn't the full truth at all. But they don't want to part with the $800. Options; argue to talk with someone higher up, yell, threaten to take them to small claims court, etc. As of now, I don't have the time nor energy to fight over free money. With me already have problems with pollprize. And based on what they're offering for 6 offers now, the outcome isn't that bad. It sucks for both of us. Not sure anyone else but the bait.

If you get a prize thats worth more than 600 dollars, you have to fill that form out. You need to claim it in your taxes.

Are you 18? If not then don't worry about it because you can't do these sites.

If you are over 18 it is what you have to file on your tax form at the beginning of next year, they will report that they sent you a $800 item or whatever and you have to report that to the IRS and pay a tax for it depending on what tax bracket you are in.

they will send a form to the IRS saying they paid you the value of the prize, and depending on how much money you make during the year, you will have to pay a certain amount of taxes on that gift, based on your tax bracket. A tax bracket is just different levels of income.For instance

If I make 22,000 a year, I'd be in the 15% tax bracket. So if the company sends me a 2,000 powerbook, then I'd have to pay 15% of that powerbook's value in taxes. = 300 dollars at the end of the year.

Well we had to send them, but then after we sent them, they changed the amount to 400 bucks and they said they are not reporting the w-9.
