This forum seems pretty strict for whatever reason, so I hope I'm allowed to ask this. I wanna know which DIY site has the best TV. Post your opinions and talk about it here and I think it'll be helpful for everyone looking to do one of these for a TV.

Personally, I'd prefer an HDTV. Are there any that offer HDTV? I'm guessing I won't be lucky enough to get a Plasma or LCD that's also HDTV, but that's ok. Is it worth it to go for a Plasma EDTV?

Metareward has a DLP site, and yfdirect sites have hdtvs but only crt ones I think. EDTVs are still good for watching tv and crap

Heh, same, I really want an HDTV but haven't found a good site except for the 42" plasma from meta, but takes 2 referrals to also do 10 offers. Working on it now.

Kev, threads like this are definitely fine. The the thing we strict about is if the question is directly related to a site, such as GadgetCity. We don't want people making a new thread to ask what offers are on GadgetCity, when they can just read or ask in the GadgetCity thread.

everyfreegift and marketsurveygroup are definitely the easiest, as you can do 6 of any offers you want. But most likely you will get an edtv plasma monitor, so no speakers or tuner.

Well I'm mainly thinkin for Xbox 360. I like the thought of gaming in HDTV.

What is Metareward? I don't see any of their sites in that master list stickied in this forum.

And what's the deal with no tuner? Do I have to go purchase a separate tuner? Is it like a box that I'd hook to my TV, then hook all my components into it? Are they expensive?

Sorry for my ignorance about TVs, but I haven't been serious about buying one yet, so haven't yet done a lot of research.

I may just do that 42" Plasma on YFDirect. It looks like it's this TV[=http//www2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/vModelDetail?displayTab=O&storeId=15001&catalogId=13401&itemId=89237&catGroupId=24973&modelNo=TH-42PD50U&surfModel=TH-42PD50U&cacheProgram=11002&cachePartner=7000000000000005702]this TV. I'm sure I won't complain too much about a new free 42" Plasma in front of me because it's EDTV. lol

I'd say do both the EFG and MSG EDTV plasmas. Worst comes to worst you sell them for $1500 each and go get a nice LCD or DLP...

where can you sell one for $1500?

eBay or Craig's list. They are brand new and retail for more than that so I'm thinking you can get around $1500, maybe more...

What's better, EDTV or HD-Ready? I did the MSG site for the Sony Plasma, but now my gf wants one lol Plus I'll probably go for another one myself.

Gigante, what site has the 42" Plasma HDTV for 10 offers + 2 refs? Link? How the hell are you gonna finish that beast of a site? I'd probably be able to do it, and get my gf to do it, but I dunno about getting another person to do 10 offers for me.

hd-ready is better. It basically means it does not have a tuner, but the tv has the capability to display a resolution of 720p or better. ED means it can display 480p, which is the resolution of dvds.

And a tuner isn't that important because a lot of the things you watch HD from have tuners built-in like the 360, DirecTV, Digital Cable, etc. The only thing I can think of you'd need a tuner for is over the air HD if you aren't using a DirecTV receiver...

Yeah, OTA hd is really nice, because theres no compression or anything, so it'll look better than anything cable or satellite can give you, but most people don't bother.

We use it because DirecTV doesn't have local HD channels and I can't watch Lost and 24 in low def | | |

Lost in HD is almost like watching a different show. Its just so good.

I follow this forum like I follow little kids, but RewardsVenue a site that you can do offers from any page and still qualify, or do you have to do the offers on the page it tells you to?

yes, you have to do the offers on the pages they tell you. the last page you have to do 6 offers, and they're harder, or more expensive offers. Still, the site is alot faster than the "6 offer" plasma site but for some the cost doesn't justify it.

I say do them all!
