That has nothing to do with how they store your password, it's just being entered into a plain-text input box.

Yeah, I wonder why their password field displays different on that site an not their other. btw I have 10 offers In Progress for the pool table and 1 offer in progress for the Plasma. So if I don't think I will get check for the pool table, I will do the Plasma.

As srichter said....the only difference is they are using <input type="text" as opposed to <input type="password" - this doesn't say anything about how it is being stored in the database.

By the way, so people don't have to ask later, you can do any offers on the site as long as they add up to the correct number of required offers. There is about a 4 month wait on any gift from BigWin.

I think I signed up at EveryFreeGift for an iBook (6 offers) back in July or August. However, I looked at my account and there are no offers listed under my status page, but I KNOW I did 2 of them and just forgot about it.
Any idea what the problem is?

In the list of YFDirect sites, the Panasonic Plasma is listed at 8 offers. I signed up for it a few weeks ago, but didn't start doing any offers yet. I was planning to start it today, but as I was clicking through the offer pages, I noticed it is now 10 offers. I swear it was only 8 when I signed up, but they changed it on me, even after I signed up. Kinda fishy if you ask me...

Look, we have covered this many times, we have been told that it doesn't matter what page and they have no way of tracking the page, they tell you that straight forward because that makes it harder, but it will work with just completing the correct # of offers...
Do it how you'd like, if you want to go with that, then go for it, but it will work teh same with any page you'd like )

For those of you who are doing the PoolTable offer from YFdirect, you might be in for a bit of a let down if you are hoping for a $3,300 check.
There was a post on scam.com yesterday morning by a guy who said he started doing the pool table offer in July. He talked to YFDirect a few days ago and they told him they'd send him a check for less than $1,700 if he didn't want them to ship the pool table.
UNfortunately, scam.com seems to be having problems right now or I'd point you to the thread.
Anybody know what's going on with Scam.com?

The Customer Support has told a few people this, it was a while back, and people have done it and received the gift... they don't record where the offers come from, just that you did the correct # of offers...

And one more question, I am 18 but was born in '87, and the bigwin sites only go up to '86 when I'm signing up. Is it ok to just choose 86, or will they have you verify everything before shipping your gift?

The rep I spoke to said you need to have atleast oen certificate towards it tho. I.E. you start for a laptop, then signup again for a visa check card and complete ur last offer(s) on the check card. Then cross out the laptop on the other certs and put check card

Ive heard from multiple random sources taht you can possibly 'write in' equivalent gifts under certain circumstances. So if you did the gift card, as I did, you can probably request a VISA gift card rather than some other type...

Do 10 offers, then when you get em all approved and the vouchers printed, write in vespa in place of the shopping spree on the actual paper vouchers.

Yes, I just asked when I called to get my approval emails. This makes 2 reps that have confirmed it. You need ATLEAST one voucher that says the new gift. That means you'll need to do an extra offer if you're done.
This also adds another 45 days to your waiting period.

For those of you out there that are doing the 6 offers/$1000 gift card there is a 10 offer Hawaiin Vacation offer that is actually a $2000 VISA gift card, so for 4 more offers you can get $1000 more. I think a good strategy would be to do one more offer for the Hawaii, one for the Vespa, one for the streetfighter and one for the pool table. Then you can pick whichever one of those you actually want when it comes time to send in your certs.

But then i heard OTHERS say that they got a plasma worth around $1400-$1500.
Any updates on this?

BigWin was never sending out the sony plasma... they have alwayas been sending out the Panasonic (if i remember right)... I would guess that they will send out a plasma TV with speakers, and a tuner, stand, and speakers like they had said to people on scam.com...

Well, I did all 10 offers for the Vespa last night and so far 6/10 have gone to "In Progress". I've received all the confirmation emails except from CheapTrips. For those who signed up for CheapTrips, how long did it take to get a confirmation email? Also, I did FTD but it hasn't gone "In Progress" yet. I'm hoping it will when my flowers ship but seeing as there are no offer instructions in the popup dialog, I'm a little worried that I didn't meet the requirements. My total cost, including shipping, was $36 so I hope that's enough. Anyway, I hope everything works out.

For all those who have done the vespa, I want to put your mind at ease. You will get a check. You will not get a vespa. A vespa is a motor vehicle, meaning they would have to purchase them new from a dealer, paying taxes and all dealer fees, then transfer the title to you, another set of taxes, plus a bill of sale. A quick check of their TOS makes me about 95% sure they can't make you pay the second set of sales tax.
If, by some fluke they could title it directly in your name, it'd still be rediculous, because they could not, after taxes and shipping, get it to you for less than three thousand dollars.
Finally, the ET-2 is being discontinued. It's not that hot of a scooter, really slow and weak, with mediocre gas mileage. If you really want one, buy a japanese knock off for a grand, it'll go faster and get like 100 mpg (no joke), plus you'll have two thousand dollars left over to buy whatever your little heart desires.
PLEASE, stop asking about the scooter, you'll get a check. Be cool like me and buy a motorcycle ).

I still haven't received my CheapTrips confirmation email. Can anybody confirm that a record of the charge on my credit card is sufficient to get manual credit (as my status still shows "Pending") if I never receive one?
Also, only 6/10 went "In Progress" since I completed the 10 offers on Saturday. I assume YfDirect won't be too difficult with me in getting manual credit for the 4 offers pending? Seems like everybody here has only had to deal with 1 or 2 manual credits per site. Not sure if they would scrutinize my account more with 4 offers pending. I really don't have any additional offers that I can still sign up. Also, this is the one account where I couldn't follow the offers per page rules.
Hopefully more offers go "In Progress" in the next few days seeing as I did them over the weekend. I'm just impatient and having signed up for a couple of sites now with no prize in the delivery stage yet has me slightly worried that I've wasted a few hundred bucks.

I'm having all sorts of problems receiving mine. I called 3 times yesterday to get the links emailed. Two times, they never arrived, and the other time, the CS rep told me that he'd send them with an alternate yahoo email because sometimes emails are blocked by ISPs. The links arrived when he sent them via the yahoo email, but when I went to do the certificates, he only sent me 5 links instead of 6 for the $1000 card. So I called back today and the lady told me that their system is down. I sure hope they get back soon, I really want to mail the certificates! ) I'm planning on using it for our trip to DisneyWorld!

I believe what your going to hear is somehow sign up for the opposing gift, complete an offer so that way when its "approved" and u print the vouchers you can simply cross out "StreetFighter" from the previous vouchers and leave the new voucer prize alone.....
Also...U asy just make another account...Sounds like you haven't done any offers in that case. U can just sign up for whatever else it is you want with your own name, Its one GIFT per household...not one ACCOUNT...good luck

Tycoon, there's a whole YFdirect faq section you can flip through, as well as multiple stickies that would have some sort of answer to your question. If you didn't know bigwin was yfdirect, or don't even know what yfdirect is (don't mean to be a dick, but your post count labels you a newb, so I don't know how experienced you are yet), spend an hour reading through this forum, it'll prove very valuable in future endeavors. Like I said, at least one voucher must say vespa on the top, so usually you'll have to do one more offer.
Tylerc, there will never be a 100% guarantee you'll even get a gift, these sites may cut their losses and pack up any day. That being said, I'd bet the farm that you'll get the check, it's just too damn complicated to get a vespa to you.

Tycoon, there's a whole YFdirect faq section you can flip through, as well as multiple stickies that would have some sort of answer to your question. If you didn't know bigwin was yfdirect, or don't even know what yfdirect is (don't mean to be a dick, but your post count labels you a newb, so I don't know how experienced you are yet), spend an hour reading through this forum, it'll prove very valuable in future endeavors. this is why i make sure not to procrastinate in doing sites when they have amazing deals. i put a bit of money into doing all the sites around the same time, instead of spreaing it out, but i was more sure if I did them early the offers wouldnt change or even have the sites shut down.(does anyone remember prizecube lol )

Yeah they sent me a similar email, though i had only signed up for the Panasonic Plasma TV when it was 10 offers, and clicked some offers, though i think they are just using logic and don't have a system in place for tracking which offer you do, since i clicked offers on both pages 1-2 and they said i only did offer from page 1....
Thus that's good to know if you are going for a smaller item!

I completed 10 offers for vespa on feb 3rd, now I have 7/9 switched to "Approved" and I need to get manual credit on another. I was hoping to just be able to send in my forms and try to slide under the radar. However, I will have to contact them about my manual credit for one offer.
I really wish I had completed an extra offer now.
Do you think I should
a) call and request manual credit and hope they don't say anything about CC offers
b) email them requesting manual credit
c) do another offer and wait 45 days (assuming my current vouchers won't expire by then)
Doing a CC offer isn't an option for me, so if they catch me, I basically get nothing. Junior's post gives me a little bit of hope atleast

They have told numerous people (including me) that they will honor you for the lower offer requirement since it was done before the TOS switch. So get your manual credit and proceed as normal.

well you aren't going to be happy to hear that I just did the same thing, and now manual credit is being processed (1-3 weeks) and no mention of doing more offers. He told me he was emailing me my other 9 vouchers and that I could go ahead and print them off and wait for the last to credit as I needed to send them in all together. I'm not sure why the discrepency, maybe of importance that my other 9 were all 'Approved' already. More likely just depends on who you talk to. I don't think this guarantees that they won't still make me do the offers between now and when I get my last voucher, or even after that. But I still have a chance.

the final one was done on 3/4 The final and 7 of the 2/22 offers went in progress and of course its been more than 45 days since 2/22

ok, so I had 9/10 approved on the vespa. I called and gave the info about manual credit without them saying anything about the extra offers. Just today, the offer I wanted manual credit on went to 'In Progress'

hmmm, the certs don't say what offer you they were for huh? Well that sounds like good news. However they can still see it in their systems. I dunno, just wish the last offer was Approved. Anyone have any update on the bigwin situation... I'm on the 3rd week wait'n for manual credit and just figur'n what to do once its recieved... Well if you did ftd flowers you are in luck. you can actually fax them your reciept and get credit. i fax my reciept for ftd and i got credit in like 3 days. i didnt work for any other offer but it ftd you can fax in for confirmation. or email. Hey I am getting a little worried now. I did the $1000 shopping spree offer back in january and my item has gone to SHIPPED status as of Monday May 1. It has been close to two weeks now and I STILL haven't received the giftcard in the mail.
Anyone else get this giftcard from YFD? If so, how long did it take to arrive from 'shipped' status?
Sucks cause its not like a check which can be cancelled I assume. If that sucker gets lost in crappy 1st class snail mail, I assume it is gone for good. ( I can only hope for the best, particularly since I am moving out of this residence in 2 weeks.

It seems like "shipped" is more of state of mind with YF Direct than the actual physical act of sending out your gift.
It's probably an internal designation. i.e. "Shipped" means it's moved from the department that does the offer verification to the shipping/gift fulfillment department. The shipping department has it's own waiting games it likes to play. Everyone at YF Direct likes to get in on the fun it seems. ? lol
But it's difficult to complain when it's "free."

He said I should get it in 5-7 business day from monday!!

yea, constance (the only guy that answers the phone at YFD is tough about everything compaired to the ladies... when I call and get him, i usually hang up and call again after 30 min or so and hope for a lady...

I requested manual credit twice for 3 offers. Juvio never went through and I had to do another offer for that, but CompleteHome and Ultima Patch both went through after about 5-6 weeks from when I first requested credit.

Well, 14 weeks that I've been processing (according to them). I suppose it's more like 15 - 16 weeks since I sent in my certs. I have no idea how long we are supposed to wait, as I have not had this problem with YF before. im in the same boat i did the 42" and 2 of em didnt credit and they went to in progress after manual credit then they said i needed to do two more offers cuz the requirement is 10? so i did them and one of them didnt go to in progress so at this rate itll be a while til i get it...

I havent been through this situation personally myself though. NONE of the reps have ever mentioned anything about credit card offers to me shock

i know this might be beaten to death but ive been reading htese pages for a while and really havent gotten a conclusive answer... with Bigwins horrible manual crediting system... from what i understand you wait 45 days from your sign up date then they will submit a request and then it must go to In Progress for another 45 days??? or if you call them and annoy them enough will it go to approved? (assuming they got the okay from the offer...) my main reason for asking this is... i originally only did 8 offers for the plasma tv and then after 6/8 went approved i requested manual credit for the remaining two the manual crediting took a month and a half then the status went to In progress and it has been there for another 45 days... now the only reason i didnt annoy the hell out of them to make them go to approved was they came out of left field and claimed i needed to do 2 more offers to make it 10 total for the plasma... i wasnt really happy about it but i did it an currently waiting for the two to credit and of coarse the dreded one of them still says "pending" so im waiting the 45 days then doing a manual credit request... after they get the approval... will it be another 45 days? if that all makes since...

Guys if your gift was declined and you signed up back in early of this year or were specifically told by customer service you just need to complete 10 offers, then you have every right to get the gift.

Ya, i think if you just complete the requirements and don't bother them they will ship out the gift or cash value of it. It will take a lot of patience.

Both will get the 3K. My case was "special" bc. when I started and completed the offers back in Feb. I was told by the customer service lady that I can complete any of the offers and doesn't have to be in any order and don't necessary have to complete a cc offer. So after I did that they try to come up with excuses not ship me the gift and at the last minute when i tried to redeem my gift they told me I need a cc offer done. I argued with them and the manager about this and non of them would admit to their mistake. So I filed a BBB report and here was their response
This is Netblue's response to complaint #####, filed by Mr. I, regarding our website www.BigWin.com. Mr. I states that he is due a free gift for completing 10 offers as directed through our website. Mr. I states that he was recently told by our representatives that he was not eligible for the free gift he has requested because he did not complete a credit card offer. He argues that he was never previously informed that a completed credit card offer was necessary.
We would like to apologize for the confusion over this matter. Though completing a credit card offer is indeed a current requirement for this promotion, this policy was not being enforced when Mr. I first signed up through our site and began contacting our call center. Therefore, we are willing to waive this requirement. We will also create Mr. I's certificates for him and submit them to the gift center. His gift should be shipped after 6-8 weeks processing time.
We apologize for the inconvenience and trust this matter to be resolved.
So there you have it. They knew they were trying to jack me up and finally admitted to what I was telling them all this time. Then after a month later I had my $4400 check in my hand D. If your situation is similar, you have a good chance of winning the cc offer dispute. Good luck to you.

Well just look at the price and consider the amount spent on 22 offers. IMO no sound system is worth 22 offers when NuiTech will give you 2k for a few offers less...Granted there offers may be just a bit more expensive

haha, drop ship a scooter. i doubt that will happen. however i do remember someone actually receiving the arcade machine from them once

i havent touched a netblue site since bigwin, but that was ages ago. it's too had to complete their sites imo. much easier ones with quicker shipping

Well I've finished all my requirements for bigwin. The terms were for my reactivated account for the plastma tv to do 2 cc offers and rest from the last page, which I did. I just got an email saying that the offers were from page 3 and not from page 4 so I need to do them all over again. Problem is, the offers at the time WERE from page 4 and the location of the offers now have moved. It amazes me how they are trying to weasel their way out of redeeming gifts. I might possibly file a BBB complaint as that seems the most productive in the post above. Also, like I posted prior, phone calls seem like a crap shot now as it goes straight to voicemail.
