Thanks. Nice to know.
I think I'll just stick with getting the Powerbook for 8 offers, than I'll get the 42" Plasma for 6 offers.
Than I think I'll be done with DIY sites for a while. I still have some other things to finish.

hey theworkguy and everyone else. I found out the other day, due to being bored that if you click on a gift for EFG and copy the 4 digit number at the end of the web address and replace those four numbers with your MSG web address you get the smae gift (in most cases) on MSG as you do on EFG. So you can browse EFG and then find that gift on MSG if you have already done EFG. The only diclaimer is once you copy the number I am not 100% sure you can get the gift through MSG because I have not signed up yet, but I am guessing if the page shows MSG with the gift you are looking for it can be done. Just an FYI for everyone.

Yes I've read this whole thread!!!
lililiUpdate I am currently going through the process of manually entering all possible Product ID on MSG, since its URL is different from other YF Direct Sites!!! I've found most of the major item (10+ HDTVs, LCD, Laptops, Desktops, etc) and in all about 400+ gift so far.
Good News That I still have the Big item's links saved!
Bad News GratisOffersGuide's Forums have a character limit, so I've lost a good deal of my research when i posted it, and stupid me i didn't save it anywhere else!!! But I'm asking the Mods if i can recover it!
I'll post the big items under the DIY thread. And if I'm feeling up to it, I'll start over again and list all the gifts, there is almost 5000, but I had about 400!

45 days from "in progress" to approved. In progress means approved though. They just make you wait to swtich it over and print your vouchers. Its then like 30 days from vouchers mailed in until you get your gift

30 days from vouchers mailed? I don't think so, you've got at least 6-8 weeks after vouchers mailed, and maybe even more, up to 10 or 12 weeks...

srichter

He posted 22 and says he's "interested in completing 18" (read "The site requires me to do 18") Also, this could be considered a walkthrough.
Plus, it shouldn't matter how much they cost, etc, since he should figure that out himself when he researches the offer before trying it.

I got credit right away after my CD shipped, but mine was queued about two minutes after joining... saw they had a few Sonic Youth albums and joiyously exclaimed "hells yes". ;)
My CD shipped the day after I joined and queued it, and I got credit that night. As soon as your CD is sent out you should be fine.
I'm a bit surprised that it's been a week and Free $25 Lowes Card hasn't gone In Progress, that one usually works right away from what I've heard. Maybe they're waiting to see if I stay on past the trial (which I plan to).

I read somewhere of someone doing an offer twice for the same site and it went through. I guess they really don't keep track of what page, what offer, or anything. Our account information probably only shows how many have gone through without mention of which those were.

Interesting, because someone in my same household just started bigwin. When she tried to sign-up for the Privacy Matters, At Home Rewards, and Simply You, the creation of the account was declined after submititng CC info. She has the same address and last name as me, and I have already completed those offers. Everything else is different, email, phone, CC#. The two responses above me are exactly right. I understand sometimes you need that extra reassurance of someone holding your hand, but we can't. We do the best we can with FAQs and stickies just to have someone say "Screw that I don't feel like reading, tell me again!"
chazmann

Oftentimes I have read the answer already, but want clarification or affirmation, because these are new waters for me, and I know how ambiguous situations really fucked me over when I was doing referral based sites. But there we have dozens of members willing to help, here everyone has to ask only a few members, so it's overload for them, and still difficult for the rest of us.
In short, more of us need to get good at DIY, or more of us need to take the time to help.

Break-ups are so sad. I'm not even a part of this, and it's hard on me. (
Anyway, to get down to business, I did a little more research into this whole idea
[quotec83a91ebc1="tjwor"][quotec83a91ebc1="petrie"][quotec83a91ebc1="tjwor"]Also, i asked if a firend of mine could complete an offer for me and they said this would not be a problem as long as they are within the terms of the site i'm signing up for D[/quotec83a91ebc1]
So does that mean I can get a friend to go to my site to complete offers, sign up for one of the same offers I've already done (or a different one, depending on what he has a genuine interest in), and complete the offer and I'll get credit for it? Even if he has a totally different email address, address, name, etc? All that matters is that he clicks it and completes it from my page?[/quotec83a91ebc1]
From what they told me they don't care as long as it gets completed...[/quotec83a91ebc1]
I called GadgetCity, since it's a YFDirect site, and according to them, this would not work. I asked if, through my page, a friend could click on a link and complete an offer with a different name, address, email address, credit card, etc, and if I could still get credit for it. He looked into it (i guess asked someone else) and said "that would not work." So I said "so the offers have to be completed by the same person with the same email address, etc?" and he said yes.
So...as it stands, i guess we've heard it can be done by a rep and we've heard it cannot be done by a rep. Who knows what is actually true... If anyone completes something where they get a friend to complete an offer on their behalf, please let us all know. I want to do another YFDirect site, but I'm running out of decent offers, so...this would have been a big help to me before, but with this update, not so much...and it makes me sad. cry

i dont know who you talked to there but i talked to a guy once and asked them if they received my certs yet, he said they dont have the ability to look up that information.(which i knew they could) so i hung up and called back. i talked to an older lady and i asked the same question. she then looked it up and told me the date they received them.
the point is maybe you talked to the same guy who doesnt know what he is talking about. but then again he may be correct.

Yeah, it's a mystery. I mean, the guy had to go ask someone else for the answer, so he didn't even know the answer himself and he likely got the message confused on top of that, so who knows. Plus, I talked to someone for gadgetcity, which may be the same number as yfdirect, but i'm not sure. I only posted about it here instead because this is where the discussion of that idea (which theoretically would apply to all yfdirect sites) took place. A lot of variables here, I know...
So, just to clarify, I'm not saying you are wrong or anything, I just called to get further clarification on whether any of the information for the person completing the ref had to be the same, or if it was all based solely on the link (as opposed to email address, etc). I actually tried to send a message electronically yesterday, but their site wouldn't take it for some stupid reason. So here I sit, question still unanswered... Maybe I'll try to send that electronic message again and see what I get back from someone else.
Chewy, have you tried that yet? Have you tried to get someone else to complete an offer on your site to see if it shows up for you and if you get credit?

If you are looking for money i'd say that is best, if you want a computer maybe do the Vaio, idk the value of it, but I think it is more than 1K...
If you are interested in a computer but more interested in a 1K gift card, maybe think about InternetOpinionGroup for the 1K gift card and MSG/EFG/BW for a sony Vaio.. (i don't think IOG has a vaio)
BigWin has the PowerBook if you are a mac fan.. like me D

Tried using IOG's product ID for MSG's. Didn't work.
Can someone please post the links for MSG's
$1000 visa
PowerBook
Plasma/LCD TVs (if they are still available)
Thanks. Hopefully Gigante can update the sticky "link to all sites and offers" with more MSG links. The only which is up there is the 42" Plasma TV which I think isn't available.

Hey guys....Here's my situation....I just logged in to marketsurveygroup with 2 offers showing "Pending" that i clicked on the 1st of January and the gift selection as "Sony Plasma T.V." I asked the lady if i was still eligible for the gift and she said if one of the offers was completed i'd be able to do 5 more offers. But since none are in progress or approved at this time i would need to move on to another gift. What do you think the chances of just doin 6 more offers and send'n those in for the plasma are?? Or would any further offers show as "RAZR" instead of plasma??

So just send in all 6 that say RAZR but writing in plasma? 0 chance. If you did complete an offer and have a cert that says Plasma, you've got a good chance...

So, is MSG still encouraging the check option instead of the plasma? I'm asking because I just sent mine in today, took them over 3 months to get my offers credited cause NetFlix was being a major pain. Will it still take 45 days before I receive the check or what? I'm about to have to move out into the real world for the first time and a $1k check will help out a WHOLE lot more than a 42" plasma would.

I just called YFD about an hour ago regarding my certificates and they had confirmed they had received them on the 26th. I then mentioned the check offer I had heard about and they said that the check would only be mailed after the 8 week processing period that started once they received the certs. Apparently I have to reply to an email from them to confirm the change to the check as my gift. Does anyone know if it will actually take all 8 weeks to complete the processing of my certs? I already included the W9 form with them so there should be no problem there. Any advice?
