I look outside today, and see a package. I expect it to be from some trilligiant site (like a cheap cd player or digital camera but it is from efullfillment)..

So I am totally pondered wondering whats up and OMG...a 1GB iPod Shuffle..
(GASP!)
Well, this wouldn't be out of the ordinary if I hadn't already received mine on Friday!
So this is the second iPod Shuffle I have received when the only iPod Shuffle I signed up for was FreeiPodShuffle.Com!
Do you think I will have to send it back! Or what? I haven't opened it yet and my parents are like WTF! Is this legit? How are you getting two!?
I am amazed, but scared at the same time.
Some immediate posts would be great, and it would be nice if you were serious.

wow man I'm not really sure, with all these different posts about people having 2 shipping numbers for their iPod shuffle there could potentially be alot of people receiving 2 free iPod shuffles like you, but thats just speculation. Personally I'd say keep it unless something changes.

I doubt they would freeze any of your accounts. It's efulfillment that will catch shit for this. They are the ones I would think would try to recover this mistake shipment.
The one argument for keeping it would be that you didn't sign for it, regardless if it was tracked and that you received "your" iPod Shuffle on friday.
Or you may never be contacted. My guess is you will. But the above argument places the real blame onto DHL for not requiring a signature and Efulfillment for sending out two.
Double shipments that are glitches are normally caught, but reclaiming the extra shipments is hard to do unless there is a lot of paperwork and proof.
In this case, it could very well be difficult (and expensive) to recover.

i just checked my freeipodshuffle status page and there is a new tracking number up which when checked on DHL says it will be delivered tomorrow.
i am going to write gratis when i get the thing and tell them i am willing to send it back if they pay the shipping. i don't what to do anything that will hurt gratis. don't bite the hand that feeds you, right? gratis has given me around a thousand dollars worth of free stuff and i would be happy to help them fix at least part of this.
on the other hand, if DHL or eFulfillment ends up being the faulty party i don't see how they could possibly ask for it back.

Especially since I'm in California so that would be a hell of a long way to ship in two days... we'll see though.

This has happened before. I think it was 20gb iPods, the word was that about 20-25 people got two of them (one or two posted on here). It ended up being an error on eCost's side (this was back in the day...) and eCost ate the cost of the gifts, and the recepients were allowed to keep them.
I'd say that's likely what happened and what will happen here.

also... even if they request them back, and even though they have a clause in their TOS that states somethig along the lines of " any gift may be requested back..blah bla blah." internet law, and TOS agreements are NOT set in stone.
