I know most versions of phpBB has options to disable images, avatars and signatures for each user. I would love that option!

it's messed my picture up, like stretched it out.

You can specify dimensions in the image tag now. As long as those dimensions do not exceed the maximum, they will be used for your image. For example
[490160]http//tinyurl.com/5r6mv/blue8uk.jpg[" alt=""/imga2f94f8a4f]

The tag looks like [ img=" ] [ widthheight ]url[ " alt=""/img ]

Just remove the spaces.

This rule is pointless. I understand your concern for the fact that morons have been posting vulgar pics and such, but that is one of the problems with the internet. Please do not limit the functionality of this forum due to some idiot posting vulgar pics. It the issue is having to do with bandwidth or Web Storage, you sould pony up the cash for a better hosting plan. That is what the donation are for after all arent they?

I don't think it's just because of the tubgirl pics...it's freaking annoying to be reading a forum and have someone with a sig pic that's like 300 or 400 pixels tall, especially when you're running on a lower resolution (1024x768 - I don't, but I'm sure people here do). It takes up unnecessary space for the most part.

LOL see, I've been running at no less than 1280x1024 ever since I figured out my old Dell 17" could run that high. Then I upgraded to a 19" and started running at 1600x1200 - I need all the desktop space I can get - I use virtual machines, photoshop, visual studio, etc a lot, so I like being able to see everything at once.

Now I'm at 1280x1024 on my FFS at home (plus the extra Samsung LCD I bought), and my laptop is SXGA+ at 1400x1050. It's all about personal preference, though.

It would be preferable if you set this function to preserve the aspect of the image during the resize to maximum limit.

ie resizing 520x397 to 327x250 etc.

[quote6b14688cb8="Admin"]This does not affect CURRENT sigs but will affect any new ones or if you change yours.[/quote6b14688cb8]

I'm afraid that's not true. (as you can see below)

It seems that if you change your profile for ANY reason, it will be fliliked up.

I hope you can fix that.....

yea the whole image thing is gay. i think you should remove it, cuz now it makes EVERYONE's huge..

you could at least make a PHP code that only resizes it if it goes OVER.. (thats what i initially thought it did) the whole resize thing defeats the purpose.

Woohoo, it's fixed!

I just went back into my profile to see my sig pics, and they now had a dimension value in the urls. [in brackets]

I just adjusted the dimension, and it's looks acceptable now. )

Have any idea why only certain sigs are showing up?

All of my imageshack hosted pics are down, as are others photobucket pics.

Admin

Try editing them and removing the [numbernumber] part.
