If youre still having trouble with cool4free sites (phree)..

It's based on your ISP's DNS servers. When you type in an address, that domain name is looked up on your DNS server, and an IP address is returned (like a phonebook). Right now, most DNS servers don't have the new server IP, as it hasn't propagated yet (as Cool4Free has said). I don't think restarting your computer/connection will make any difference (I don't think any of the info is cached).

If you really need to get to the site, you can do a temporary fix. You can edit your hosts file, and manually add in the new IP of the server (instead of looking it up on your ISP's DNS servers). After all the DNS info has propagated, you would probably want to remove this. First find your hosts file.
Here are the locations

Windows 95/98/Me c\WINDOWS\
Windows NT/2000 c\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\
Windows XP c\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\
(sometimes XP can be either WINDOWS or WINNT)

When you get the the folder, open up the hosts file in Notepad. Then add the following

I'll just wait for the DNS to propogate. It'll be one to two days at most.

As far as i know, the 21st is the extended deadline. The original deadline was the 20th and i talked to the guy on AIM and he said because of the inconvenience of the servers being down he would extend the deadline by 1 day.

just copy and paste the info at the bottom, save it, and it should work

even if i did this and I can view the site, is it basically pointless to try and get referrals on this site until they are fully back up and running for everybody? Anybody who i try to refer probably wont want to go to all this trouble with the host files and everything just to get me a green.

YEa, thats why i posted it, because he went over everyone who submitted for approval. It doesnt help if you need refs, but if you need to place an order then it helps.

I would just get the PSP since it's only 1 more ref than the 1GB card. And then just sell the PSP and buy a 1GB card.

If you still have this added in your hosts file, you are accessing the old server. He went with new hosting at Tek-Labs.com, and most DNS servers should be updated with the new IP by now. You should remove this from your hosts file, or if your DNS servers haven't updated yet, and you still need to get to the site, change the 72.29.74.75 to 64.27.216.201. Any changes you make while stilll on the old IP will probably not be carried over, as that server is being phased out, and it looks like the transition has already been made. Before changing the IP in your hosts file, try removing it and seeing if your DNS servers have updated.
