The spell checker sort of gets in the way of posting a topic or reply. It just seems like more of a hassle than something of worth. Does anyone else feel this way? Or at least make it optional

It is optional.

Yeah, just take it off. What's more annoying is "You cannot make another post so soon after your last; please try again in a short while."

Yeah, it gets really annoying. Then you retype it and click and it says the same thing! SO ANNOYING! You have to pause and just leave the window there a little.

thats why browsers have a little thing called a 'back button' that way you dont have to retype it.

Since everyone told him you can do it but didn't tell him how, the option is located toward the bottom of your profile options )

Duh. I've been doing that. When you click back it erases everything(maybe you should test it before replying). What do you think I would do? Close the whole window?

If you're in Opera or Firefox it should retain the text when you go forward/back. I think there's also some option you can set in IE so you can, but I'm not sure where it is.
Or if push comes to shove you can copy-paste everything into Notepad as a precaution, but that's pretty annoying.

Yeah, lately I've been doing copy and paste. I've been in IE for a long time since I'm in to all of this free stuff and it's just a default thing to me. I really should get back to firefox again.
