I agree. They're feeling the heat and are trying to compensate.

I personally like IE. I don't have a single problem with pop-ups or spy-ware. Nothing personal people, but if you hav problems with IE then you are not as good on the computer as you think.
That goes for you too EatChex.

I agree. I've never in my life had problems with IE. I don't get how seemingly die-hard nerds have such issues with it - if you don't download malicious software, you won't have any problems...

I don't have a problem with IE... I just like Firefox better. I like the search engine window, the way searching works, tabbed browsing, the plug-ins, the skins, RSS... everything.
If MS comes out with a better product, maybe I'll switch over, but barring that, I'm staying.

you should try Maxthon browser. Tabs, all those cool feats, but
the major difference is the tabs can be resized (i have figured out how to do that with firefox). You can even have your Home button take u to.... 4 homepages at the same time, each taking up a quarter of the screen, at least that's what I think. Worth checking out (although uses IE core). Oh, and also, it directly uses IE Favorites, no need to import/modify them to sync up.

lol. well i'd rather have an all-in-one browser that stops pop-ups.. i can't stand it when i go to a website and get a million and one pop-ups. Also, IE broke on this computer (doesn't start at ALL so i use maxthon for IE) and on my other one, IE starts up SUPER slow... so i'd rather just use firefox.
Also, IE doesn't display CSS correctly, and has their own interpretation of some HTML tags, which pisses me off.
IE 7 will be even worse than 6 because they are being pushed to create a browser with more security.
And I don't have trouble with spyware...
