I'm discovering that I've been scammed. Twice :( Cheer me up

So, through various trades I've been working on Cameras4free because my man and I need a digital camera for our fast approaching honeymoon. I actually got 6 greens so far (one was a surprise extra). And then I had two more pending. One guy is from another forum who is on their good traders list and had quite a good post amount so he seemed ok to me. We (supposedly) went at the same time. I did his PCTech4Free and he sent me what appeared to be screenshots of him completing blockbuster. Long story short, after many attempts to contact him about his yellow, I posted in a trade thread he recently made. A /lot/ of others came forward about shady dealings. We're still working it out.

And the other is here on this site ( I've been working a trade with user Scarlett for her cameras.prizecube She seemed like a good trader and a nice person as well.... I've sent her numerous notes in the past week and a half though and no response yet. I'm still hoping for this one to work out.

So the point is i'm pretty down now because of all this crap. SO close to getting our camera, and then this stuff happens. I wasted sites in the trades, and the money used for the offers. Blah. I need some cheering up!

why not work on the mini dvr's site and be able to take "naughty" movies to sell to us ...or starte a site with. )

Well, if it makes you feel better, if only out of schadenfreude...

-I may have gotten scammed twice too

-I introduced my sister to free sites with a referral and she finished 5 in one day to my 5 in two weeks.

-I got called on in tax and had my ass handed to me

-I didn't get one of the fellowships I wanted for the summer

-I can't afford a birthday present for my baby sister

-...or a haircut. As such, I look like the teacher (Gabe Kaplan) from Welcome Back Kotter

That sucks. I think I might have been scammed on one of my referrals but it's not for sure, yet. It'll turn out ok, at least you don't work at Kmart.

You'll get those refs eventually. At least you didn't have to get up for an exam you are totally unprepared for while feeling like total hell. Seriously, I feel completely trashed when I have to wake up early. I don't know what's wrong with me, but I'm thinking something not good. Think of how much worse you could have it. Enjoy your day!

I can't forget to mention that I have almost NO money and don't know how I'm going to get through a trip to London this summer. D

Could you elaborate? Is there something about the blockbuster offer that makes people not want to complete it? I'm a newb and trying to learn as much about the offers that I can because I'm going to be trading a lot here soon. Thanks.

As mostly everyone has already done it, and it normally takes a while to credit, scammers often claim to have completed this offer. They figure if they tell you they did an offer that could take a while to credit, you'll stay out of their hair while they finish scamming others. Basically, if you don't know you've been scammed...they can still scam other people before you report it to the forum.

Cool, thanks man. I'll build my TR up a bit more before completing the blockbuster offer.. And I'll be sure to tell my tradee that that's the offer I'll be doing for them, so they can back out before we start if they want.

I'll keep that in mind. I've already done blockbuster, but for future reference.

Yeah ( Sadly, that seems to be what happened.

I've never done blockbuster....

My method for checking is to ask for information like their user name on this forum then find what kind of person they are.

This is not always fool proof, but it does help to weed out the scamming bastards that are not that good in posing as someone else.

Blockbuster could take over a week to give credit.
And it's not even free anymore.
Don't worry, it has probably happened at least once to everyone.
