ipod speakers

It is my bday soon and I want some speakers from my parents. Which are better in your opinions

My recommendation i Love the inMotion iM3s. Also better if you don't want to spend a lot of $$ is the Logic3 iStation.

How is the base, and how is the funcionability of the remote???

buy a speaker system, and connect the ipod to that, even though its not specified for ipods you get a lot better sound.

Klipsch promedia ultra 5.1 (5.1 is overkill though)
Altec lansing 5021 (i think its theses)
Creative Gigaworks S700 (5.1 once again overkill)


These are computer speaker systems but they will beat any systems for ipod, even bose

I use my cheap ass home entertainment system that I bought for $140 - $25 rebate from Best Buy. My iPod hooks up to it with the Monster Cable and they work great together. Great sound quality.

I've only heard the JBL speakers, but I thought they were great.

dude seriously, don't get one of those little "made for ipod" systems... get a set made for a computer, but just plug your ipod into the speakers instead of your computer... the Altec lansing 5021 might be a good choice, but any speaker system with two powered speakers and a subwoofer over 50 bucks will be way better and cheaper than a ipod speaker system.

i would suggest the same thing, think ahead, you will not always be in your bedroom, think about an apartment when you ll want "big" sound. dont get one of the ipod systems.

Well, my friend has his iPod speaker set at his office. It's kind of nice because it isn't too big and sounds good. For the home, sure, it's easier and sounds better to have computer speakers or a line in for your regular stereo.
