An autopsy will determine the exact cause of death.

Four others were also hurt in the crush, including a 28-year-old pregnant woman. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors determined her baby was fine.

The store was closed to incoming shoppers following the incident. Those already inside were escorted out with their purchases.

The ensuing emergency activity clogged the Green Acres Mall parking lot.

Shoppers around the country lined up early outside stores Friday in the annual bargain hunting ritual known as Black Friday. It got that name because it's historically been the day when stores broke into profitability for the full year.

Nassau County police were at the scene investigating.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc., in Bentonville, Ark., would not confirm the reports of a stampede at the Valley Stream outlet but said a "medical emergency" had caused them to close the store.

"Local authorities are looking into the situation," said Wal-Mart representative Dan Fogleman. "Until such time that they've completed their assessment it would be inappropriate for me to share any additional information."

Today was nuts at target. People pushing and shoving, yet they are too dumb too realize it is better to run get the items first then worry about a carriage. So, instead they use their carriage to push people out of the way.

One reason I shop online. Wow what a horrible thing to be in such a rush as to crush other people. Not worth it.

But when you're trampled on by hundreds of people...

In addition to this sadness...two were shot and killed at Toys 'R' Us today in Southern California.

Most of the deals this Black Friday weren't even that great of a deal either and sadly it's pretty usual to have casualties on Black Friday.

Fuckin sad that he died over some fat fucks wanting to get a good deal on Hannah Montana bed sheets. Although, I will say, he should've eaten his Cheerios.

I think those people should be put in jail...if anyone actually watches the video reports on this story. You'll hear that the people BROKE the doors down to get inside.

THOSE people knew they were trampling on the poor man and didn't care...all they wanted was those "cheap" deals. And another thing, coming from my experience working at Wal-Mart, the dude shouldn't even had been opening the doors.

It's a rule that only management or full time workers/department managers should have the keys to open the doors of the store. The man was hired on for seasonal work...if the family is smart enough. They'll file a wrongful death suit against Wal-Mart.

GODS...it makes me so sick when I read these Saturday morning...
