So me and my friend decided to record some more songs. We have a bunch coming up but I thought I'd get your opinion on this one. The lyrics aren't final but we just used them mostly as filler.

Tell me what you think

singing reminds of eiffel 65. haha

beat isn't bad. can you use a keyboard patch that sounds a little more real?

Wow I was going to say Eiffel 65, BUT you have your own originality to it. Just because you use the same style voice over doesn't mean its the same song. 8.75 catchy tune.

The instrumentals sound like me banging around on my keyboard at the beginning. Like chex said it needs to sound more realistic. I don't really like the vocoder effect since it's overdone in shitty hip-hop music. The rest sounds good though.

its funny because we actually were messing around with the T-Pain liAuto Tune settings so you caught it spot on. As for the keyboard, you are right. I recorded in GarageBand cuz I'm lazy but I have Logic Pro which I'll transfer it into and rerecord. Keep the comments coming. I love them, I'll have a new song up Saturday that I'm in the process of recording as we speak. I'm thinking about spitting out about 1 song a week just to keep me active.

Let me throw in some drum know how here -- I would throw in some Tom work in two spots. For the main beat, on the second and fourth phrase, I would hit the large tom on the + beat of 3 and the floor tom on the + beat of four.

Also, for the second verse, I would consider doing an all tom drum pattern either instead of the drum rest, or in the part between the two drum rests.

I do like the song a lot though. I see you caught some flack for the vocal effect, but I think it was appropriate for the song. It sounds good, keep up the good work.

A song a week might be a little much, I think you should spend an extra week tweaking the songs and messing around with them to get them perfect instead of just jumping into new ones.

When I set up my drums I'll lay down some nasty drum parts for you. I haven't played in two years, but I actually got my coordination back from rock band, so I could help you out D
