Which car is better?

My friend and I were arguing over who's car was better. He stated that because his is the 2009 model, that it's better than anything else.

I looked at the specifications of each.

My car 1999 Nissan Maxima GLE
His car 2009 Toyota Corolla XRS 5-Spd AT
