This stood out to me as odd, who would of thought that there would be a wiki how on this.

911 is overrated. A girl last night was walking probably 20 yards ahead of me and fell cold to the sidewalk and was completely out. I tried to talk to her and move her, she wasn't acknowledging me. I called 9-1-1. About 30 seconds later, while on the phone, the girl came back to life. She started to sit up. The dispatcher told me to "holler at the person and ask if they want am ambulance". I asked the girl and she uttered a "no" and stumbled around the sidewalk. I told the dispatcher "she said no but she's definitely messed up, I think she needs one". The dispatcher said "Okay, that's okay" and hung up. They sent nobody.

it's hard to generalize all people who work as 911 dispatchers, but i have heard audio clips on the web and on radio shows of the bad calls....boy do they sound unmotivated.

love how this thread turned into how much people make. and well, Im just starting a minimum wage job next week. $8.50 an hour w00t w00t. (my third minimum wage job) Sucks bigtime. I don't need a job. I make enough with FMSfreebies. But my lame parents are making me get one cuz they say I'm out partying too much and they think by me having a job will make me not want to party cuz ill be too tired. lol.

$11.00/hr. loading trucks at UPS. It's PT, so I only do about 23hrs. a week. It sort of keeps me in shape, although I still go to the gym. I'm also part of the teamsters (yay roll). Pay those sumbitches $40 a month.
