What are the must-ride rides? We're going to be there from 10a-10p, so what are your strategies for getting the most rides in?

CG got officially NO help in this thread.

Let that trend continue with me. Sorry man, I've never had the fortune of going there, thanks for the invite though (

^^

It's been a few years since I was there, but here's what I remember.

They're doing some kind of VIP pass now that lets you skip to the front of the line. I don't know what it costs or whether it's a one-day or season-pass thing, but if you really want to get the most rides in, you might want to check it out.

The hot new ride always has the craziest line. I think they've spent at least $12 mil on a new ride each season since I was 5...last one was the drag race ride. Not sure what this year's is, but the wait there will be killer.

I don't know how huge of a roller coaster fan you are. I don't like the old wooden ones, so I stick to the Corkscrew, the Gemini, the Raptor, and I can't remember what else.

you might be better off posting on a roller coaster enthusiast forum.

in the meantime, check out www.rcdb.com look up the park, look at some pics, stats and see what looks fun to you.

Last time I was there was about 5 years ago. It was a Blast!, however, I unfortunately do not remember a whole lot about it. I remember they had just put up a new ride where it shoots you out at like 70 miles an hour and you go 90 up for a few hundred feet and then turn and come back down. I don't remember what it was called though.

My typical Amusment Park statagy is getting a map and make a bee-line for the first roller coaster, and the next. I ussually don't waste my time on rides you can find at state fairs or other amusment parks.

sorry i am not much help. But enjoy!

The fast pass is now in a lot of amusement parks. It's definitely worth every penny. Especially on busy days. The strategy is to get get fast passes to the big rides, then ride the smaller rides that have shorter lines, while you're waiting. When you get a fast pass for a ride, the tickets have a time printed on them. You have to come back to the fast pass line at that time and (usually) immediately get on the ride. I've done this a couple times I've been to Six Flags and Disneyland.

Go on the ocean motion...it is a VERY death defying ride!

Ok, so it isn't at all, it is a big boat that swings, but it was the only one I remember the name of.

<I guess this doesn't help CG anymore because he should be there now>
