I would go, but it would be a bit tricky finding a way off this remote island and then renting a car and driving it through the state of Alaska, down through Canada and to wherever the hell this function is going to take place... Oh, that and I have a job that doesn't take kindly to "days off". ?

I think I'll just go to my local liquor store, buy a 6 pack of everything they have in stock, buy some ribs and have my own beer tasting event. ;)

LOL, not according to the wii fit. The wii fit made me realize that I need to get my ass up and do a lot of exercise outside and such and eat much better. I need to shed the pounds.

That's a pretty solid deal. I went to the Phantom Gourmet BBQ festival in Boston last weekend, and it was such a let-down...$10 to get in, and nobody was selling ribs for under $12 (for a half-rack). I thought the whole point was to sample a bunch of different kitchens' BBQ, but at $22 for your first sample and at least $12 for each one thereafter, we didn't stick around long.

And of course, all they had were shitty American lagers.

I was tempted to go to that because I work in the One Washington building and walked by it everyday, but I wasn't sure if it was worthwhile. Sounds like it wasn't.

Beer festivals are usually pretty fun - is it all local brews like Wachusetts type stuff or do they count Bud light and Budweiser as 2 of the 90?

I used to go to the Big E when I was younger. I loved the Joey Chitwood show... They still have that?

Oh and the Connecticut trailer gave me fake IDs.

Memories...

Oh yeah, damn that was the shit. Yeah they still have it. Sometimes the Big E gets such a kick ass circus. My parents love buying paintings there because they get them cheap.

Most of my family lives in Mass, so we'd go up there for the Big E/visiting. Then my mom and aunt had a falling out for a while, so we stopped going.

watch out for 15 year old "pact girls" that are looking to Grease Your Pole.

You hear about that shit in Gloucester? For anyone that doesn't know, basically a bunch of Teenage High School girls made a pact that they would all get pregnant immediately. I think there were upwards of 20 of them, so they all agreed to this, went out, and got pregnant.

These girls are like 15 years old. One of whom is now pregnant with a homeless man's baby. She must have been ass ugly if the only person that would hit it can't even let her spend the night. Christ what was she thinking, "I may not get child support, but I could have a place to live if he would just build an addition on this cardboard box."

People are insane. Who does that? Good ol' Gloucester

It's not as "rare" as you think. Making pacts to get pregnant among teens happens as often as pacts are made among guys to lose their virginity before they graduate.

And correction, only 7 girls made the pact...the other 10 were just girls who weren't taught how to be responsible. Which isn't surprising...

A recent study shows that 3 out of 5 teen girls DON'T know how to properly protect themselves during sex. And only 2 out of 5 guys KNOW how to protect themselves properly. Also, some of the rise in teenage pregnancy is also coming from the fact that it is spreading around that a girl CAN'T get pregnant if she has sex on her period...which is completely and totally false. So yea, "red sex" is becoming the new condom...

It has also become a trend among young boys that "cheating" is a cool thing to do. I was at my apartment complex's pool and overheard this 15 or 16 year old trying to conveince his 11 year old brother that it was "stupid" to stay with one girl and that if the 11 year old wanted to be popular he would HAVE to cheat on her.

lirolls eyesli I feel so bad for the younger generation. I thought my generation was bad but...GODS, just listening to some of these 12 and 13 year olds makes me want to smack them and smack their parents!

i wish girls made pregnancy pacts at my school (

I'm just kiddinng, there are some stupid people in the world and their kids don't deserve such stupid parents. It almost makes Jamie Lynn Spears look responsible.
