Goddammit.
So I'm your typical guy when it comes to doing laundry, where you just dump everything that's dirty into the washing machine, with no regards to separating whites from towels from colors from jeans.
None of that.
I am also your typical guy who has like two pairs of jeans that he wears and 5 or 6 key shirts that make the wardrobe.
Yeah, well, I work in a shop, where the constant use of Sharpies is necessary, and there is always several in my side cargo work shorts pocket.
I took them out before the wash, but apparently I missed one somehow and in the dryer, it proceeded to escape the pocket, uncap itself and draw all over all of my good clothes. My best pair of pants, all five of my ligoodli shirts and all my work clothes were completely destroyed.
So I had to go to American Eagle and spend $20/ea on five new shirts that I don't even really like, but I did replace the pants at Old Navy for $20 so that was cool. But money's tight, I couldn't really afford this haha. Karma is a bitch and I must have pissed someone off D

Wow...I would have been to Wal-Mart real quick and gotten me some band shirts for $10 and some good jeans/cargos for $17.
They are always at the price.
I know how you feel about the whole money is tight thing. I've got 4 shirts and 3 pairs of pants that make my wardrobe.
I've never been a "girlie girl" so it doesn't bother me TOO much. But when the rare case happens that a guy wants to meet me or something...I NEVER have anything to wear.
But yea, I'm always having to save my roommate's clothes. He did a number like you but with a red permie market...
After about 3 soaks and $20 worth of quarters later, I got most of the stains out. Color safe bleach, Shout, & cold water are your friends.

Yea Trav, it would have came out if you were determined enough to get it out.
When it comes down to marker stains, chemical treatments are your best friend and also cold water.
Cold water gets deep stains out better then warm water. Don't ask me why...it just does. Also, if some of the stains were on white areas, a Clorox bleach pen would be great for it.
Not all the stains would come COMPLETELY out, but the clothes would definitely be wear-able.
And you sound like me...when I was in HS, all I wore was Slipknot and Depeche Mode shirts. Luckily though...it didn't lead to me hanging myself or becoming...Depeche-ish?

But if the stuff can turn a white tee, pure white again, after having diesel grease smeared all over...and after already trying bleach, washing etc... then it is worth a shot.
It's called Awesome, and it really is!! Only a buck at the Dollar Tree.
Works on set blood stains, you name it.
