Only took me a couple days -- from what I hear though if you signed up through the downloaded program you might not get credit (as opposed to the ActiveX controls on the website).

what u mean through the downloaded program. when i signed up through gratis's link, it downlaoded the program on my computer then i needed to sign in with my password to get the $5 worth of free stamps. did i do it right?

When you go to sign up, it tries to activate an ActiveX control, and if your computer is like mine IE will at first deny it. (I don't think Firefox has ActiveX, and I know Opera doesn't). It will tell you to activate it or download the program. If you activate it, your signup will appear in the browser. If you download the program instead, you'll sign up through an external program (or at least, that's what I presume).

That doesn't mean not to download the program at all -- you have to to mess around with your free postage. It just means signing up through the program may give you problems getting credit.

Ah OK, so not all hope is lost for those who've signed up with the program. It's just most of the people I've heard having problems are ones who've downloaded the program (in my admittingly minimal observations).

I don't understand what you have to sign up for. i did all the registration on the site and then logged into the app and there is nothing to do.....my freepostage is already listed. Am I missing something?

I'm the guy who did Stamps.com for sweeedfish. Still haven't gotten credit. Sweeedfish and I figured out an amicable solution between us but I'm still pissed at Stamps.com.

I already have someone signed up below me. Do I have to do another deal to get credit for him? And sweeedfish got screwed out of credit for me.

Maybe Stamps.com will end up coming through. But in the meantime I'd avoid them.

Stamps.com credited within 3 days for me, but I completed it a few weeks ago on a Coobro site. A great offer, I thought....how can you go wrong with $5 of free postage??

To those who signed up via firefox... Forget about getting credit, you won't. I tried to dispute it with gratis with 4 emails and they refused to give me credit. So they screwed me over, partly my fault though for not seeing a referral id on the address bar.
