[b85b92d41aa]How important is it to this business to have space on MySpace, FaceBook, etc.? I've been thinking about doing it but I really don't have a clue what I would do exactly.

Where do you advertise and how?

I want some refs to come rolling in! Any help, comments, criticism is appreciated~so come on and give up all your little secrets! D

We can probably all learn new ways to get refs from each other!

Thanks!

For those of you that do advertise on places such as that, please share your experiences~good & bad!!

Thanks guys! woot

Truthfully, I only used this site for referrals and managed to do real well. I stopped though, once a swarm of about a million people joining this site at the same time came.

However, on the other hand...I have heard of people getting some legitimate referrals from MySpace and Facebook. Not too many though. If you're extremely popular and such, then maybe you'll have better luck.

Those social networking sites are garbage for trying to find refs. Most people refuse to acknowledge the fact that they can indeed make pretty decent money in their spare time by doing not much work.

Plus the forums are fun too, but they don't care. They'd much rather post blogs about how they think their boyfriends might be cheating because he didn't immediately text her back and he has a friend that is a girl who he went to high school with, but they always seemed "more than friends," you know... those people....

[b44127f6b82]HHonestly, I had a very hard time trying to use a myspace to obtain refs and don't do it anymore. But, best of luck to you. If you show tits, they will follow!

Cheers![/b44127f6b82][/color44127f6b82][/size44127f6b82]

Myspace has become spam-central, and most people know how to avoid it now, so good or bad people probably will ignore it.

If you market it right and put links in the right places, you can usually get 5 refs/day or so.

I'm assuming that's what you do. So, do you have any advice as to where and how to market?

Thanks,

Wouldn't you exploit as many business opportunities as possible, especially if one of those opportunities didn't cost you anything?

My advice is to look for places where you are allowed to post links and places where you won't look like you are spamming. You want the support of wherever you are going to put your link. Community places are great places to look. Make sure to do some targeting. Don't just go post your link saying "free nude pics" or something or none of these people will complete offers. This is as good of advice as I can give without telling you the places I use (which wouldn't be good because I don't want increased competition).

And don't listen to FON, he is too busy trolling the forums to make money.

[b22ba5aa5a0]Actually, you are quite rude and [i22ba5aa5a0]YOUR[/i22ba5aa5a0] post is the one that did not make sense. If you don't have anything of substance to contribute to the conversation then, perhaps, you should consider staying out of it. [/b22ba5aa5a0][/color22ba5aa5a0][/size22ba5aa5a0]

Well, since apparently everyone in this discussion is (for whatever reason) against me...let me elaborate

After briefly reviewing Gigante's trade feedback, even with the limited information provided (User/Comment), it is fairly evident that in general the bulk of Gigante's trades go something like this "Gigante pays USER $X to complete an offer at SITE ABC". Looking at his post history in The Trading Post, you'll see that he is paying anywhere between $20 and $30 for a referral (note that we are not considering any $/Referral ratios). This suggests the following…

For a 5 referral gift, Gigante could (in his estimation)

A)"market right and put links in the right places" and finish the site in ~1 Day

B) Pay a $100 for 5 referrals @ $20/each, $150 for 5 referrals @ $30/each (or anywhere in between) and finish the site in...let's be kind and say ~1 Day.

C) Being pressed for time (in this industry where, truthfully, it's almost always a "hurry up and wait" situation) he combines methods A and B...reels in 3 "free" referrals and pays $40 for 2 more referrals @ $20/each...and completes the requirements for the 5 referral gift in < 1 day.

Those familiar with any of the basic economic principles should now see that Gigante's claim that "If you market it right and put links in the right places, you can usually get 5 refs/day or so." is, at least in Gigante's case, unlikely to be accurate. doylnea asked "Wouldn't you exploit as many business opportunities as possible, especially if one of those opportunities didn't cost you anything?" – In most cases? Sure. In this case, as evidenced above, no. It doesn't make sense. If nothing else...it becomes a question "what is the value of time?" in the example.

Also, Gigante, I hope you don't honestly think you've made more in this "business" than I have roll ....just because I'm not as active in the "community" anymore, doesn't mean I'm not still making money in freebies. If nothing else, consider that I was here 8 months before you. During that time, I completed every Gratis, OfferCentric, Coobro, and PrizeCube(?) site without paying/trading for one referral.

What's with the purple font? It seems agressive.

Are you agressive? Do you like to pull hair?

Your logic would work FON, except a majority of my trades were ones I was paid for, not where I paid others.

I'm sure you make more than me, I like pretending I make a lot but really I am lucky to make like $100 a month. You got me.

Oh well.

I'm really not going to argue who makes and/or has made more in freebies...like I said...just keep in mind that I was here 8 months before you, completing sites, without paying/trading for one referral. Even before that, I was doing I-Deal sites before I found FIPG.

J, you're right...he didn't come out and say it...but it's a pretty reasonable inference based on the statement "And don't listen to FON, he is too busy trolling the forums to make money."

I network on Yuwie.... It so much better than My Space and Facebook for business. People welcome business, most people are not set to private, the want you to comment to them... why you ask?? Because they get paid for people viewing there pages.

So it is free to sign up and you get paid a small amount for every time someone views your stuff, and everytime someone views anyone that you have referred stuff.

I am also starting to compose a bunch of freebie training material here. So check it out, and you are welcome to use my training pages if you like.

I find it hard to believe people still actively pursue freebies as aggressively as in the past, the scene is border line dead now with the exception of Trainn.

I find it hard to believe someone that has been here so long would call the scene dead when some people are making double what teachers make off of freebies.
