I think $50 is fairly sufficient. If I were you, I'd get a box of Ferrero Rochers, which I've never met a person who hates them, and maybe 1 or 2 dozen roses depending on where you get them from and how much they are. Just be confident and you'll be fine.

Yep, you guys are living in a "chick flick" with this thread... it is truly entertaining. TFOAF, guys seem to think that all women want flowers. Not exactly true. Although it's a nice sentiment, what actually happens (to me anyway) is I have to search for the appropriate vase, then find a place to put them where they won't be knocked over, then they start to die, then they start to smell bad, then you have to throw them out and clean out the now gross vase. Give her the flowers, chocolates, etc. If she likes them, awesome, you get your boner mopped, if she doesn't, you say fuck it and move on, and you're in the same position you were before you gave her anything, you don't lose anything.

That has no place on a forum nor should it have a place in society. Its quite different when a poster asks advice for his/her problems. In that scenario the user asks for the advice. So as long as the advice given is considered helpful then all should be fine. I've offered advice to others as I would my own friends.

1) If a friend told me he was homesick I would tell him that he needs to man-up. I'd tell him the world is a tough place and you are going to need to submerge yourself in different environments to bettern your future. Id tell him this a stage for growing up and being responsible as well as facing fears and the unknown.

2) If a friend asked for girl advice. I'd tell him he needs to man up and go talk to her. I'd tell him he needs to grow some balls and ask the popular chick out very casually. SHow some interest but dont act as though her desicion is life or death for you. Hell if she says no you move on wiht peace of mind knwoing you are not wasting your time to attain the unattaibible. All enforcement here is pretty much is left up to the discretion of the mods & admins. Catch me in a good mood and I'll turn a blind eye to all sorts of borderline behavior.
