Talk about boring. Biggest snow storm I've ever seen hitting right now. The Credit Union I work at closed (I won't complain about that) thanks to it, as well as about everything else in town. 25 degrees, 10+ inches down, and about 4 more on the way. Hows the weather for all you folks?

Stormy as hell last night and this morning -- we just missed a bunch of killer tornadoes just to the north of us (something like 52 dead at last count). Now the sun's out and it's a balmy 70 deg or so.
I prefer snow, personally. We used to get a good 3-4 inches every year, but Al Gore had to go tell the planet that were warming it, so I guess it cut back on us.

What a great subject. Weather is one of mans most popular topics to talk about and to even to start a conversation with. Who knows how many great conversations were merely opened by this phrase and lead to a many great things.. friends, marriages, philosophical discussion, business ventures -- the list goes on. I applaud you slambam for bringing that great tradition of weather-talking from a phrase the many people say to avoid awkward silence to this great online community!

I used to work telemarketing and after we madwe the sell we would have to wait for the verifying party member to pick up, and always the first thing we asked was, "How was the weather in (their state here)" Perhaps I should have asked about their shoes....

It actually snowed pretty good here a couple days ago. Not cold enough to stick though, although our driveway is still frozen since it never sees the sunlight and I'm too lazy to salt/shovel it.
It's a toasty 35° here according to my Yahoo widget.

Well, it was raining like hell here last night, with lots of thunder and lightening. The thunder was so loud my whole house was shaking. It scared the crap out of me! I was sleeping so I woke up and had no idea what was going on lol. They didn't predict any thunder or lightening... it seemed quite out of the ordinary for this time of year, where i live anyway. But anyways, the rain turned to snow sometime last night so we got about an inch of snow, and its been flurrying all day.
